Park in the Saint-Pierre-Avez car park, reserved for hikers and visitors.
(S/E) From the car park, walk up the tarmac road towards the village. Find the crossroads serving the village.
(1) Turn left towards the south-east and follow the track. You will reach a signpost marking the start of the karstic cave trail.
(2) Leave the track. Take the path on the right. This path, which is quite steep at the start, crosses the track several times. You will reach the karstic cave.
(3) Admire the impressive ravine and faults, then continue along the path at the edge of the cliff.
The karstic cave trail leads to the Col de Saint-Pierre. Turn left and climb up to the pass at 1,269 metres.
(4) From the pass, head south-west on a path following theGRP® markings (red and yellow) until you reach the intersection with a track.
(5) At the signpost, head left up theGRP® towards Ribiers until you reach the Col de Blauri.
(6) From the pass, leave theGRP® and take an unmarked track on the right, which becomes a grassy trail to follow to the summit.
(7) At the summit of La Platte (1,483 m), enjoy a 360° panorama. Continue westwards, following the grassy tracks along the ridge.
(8) Leave the ridge and descend on the right-hand side, following the grassy slope, to join the marked track coming from the Col de Blauri.
(9) Follow the marked trail west to the Col du Vieux Bus 1279m
(10) Col du Vieux Bus 1279m, signpost. From the pass, follow the direction indicated on the right. A stony track first descends towards the south-east and then turns south-west.
(11) Shortly before the village, join another track and follow it. Pass by a wash house and the church.
(1) Follow the same route as on the way out to return to the village car park (S/E).
