Promenade de Lascaux à Montignac-Lascaux
Une petite promenade autour des 2 sites préhistoriques de Montignac : la célèbre grotte de Lascaux et le site du Régourdou.
Cette promenade qui part du bourg vous amène au sommet de la colline où se trouve la célèbre grotte de Lascaux. Vous pourriez visiter le site ainsi que celui du Régourdou. Le retour vers le village vous offre une splendide vue sur la vallée.
Boucle des cabanes à Sergeac
Parcours à la rencontre du temps. À partir du village historique de Sergeac, cheminement dans les collines par un sentier bordé de vestiges de la vie d’autrefois et d’un site préhistorique ouvert au public, aboutissant sur la vue panoramique de la vallée.
Barade National Forest Loop
A long, peaceful hike in the Barade National Forest (barradaen occitan: closed): calm, wind in the branches, birdsong... It mainly follows firebreaks, with few roads. Moderate elevation gain.
In the woods of Peyrignac
A superb walk, mostly through woodland with very little road. Walk around Peyrignac and its hamlets, enjoying the peace and quiet of the forest.
Panoramic view of the Vézère
This hike takes you up to a higher elevation with a beautiful view of the Vézère River, and also allows you to discover two sites:
- La Roque Saint-Christophe, troglodyte dwellings in a limestone cliff one kilometre long and sixty metres high,
- and the village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France.
The castles of Larres and Maine from Saint-Rabier
This loop, mainly through woodland, will take you to some of the Périgord Noir's lesser-known châteaux: Saint-Rabier, Rastignac, Larres and Le-Maine.
A steep climb will take you to the heights of Larres from Taravellou.
The return journey is on a gentler slope through the village of La-Chapelle-Saint-Jean.
There is a bit of tarmac at the start and finish, but overall there are far more paths than roads.
Marcillac circular
This walk will allow you to discover a peaceful and charming village, a little away from the major tourist sites. The village of Marcillac will enchant you with its old houses with blonde stone walls and slate roofs clustered around its small church.
On the lands of the Lord of Lasserre
Put yourself in the shoes of the Lord of Lasserre and visit his lands between the dairy farm of Pech Mortier and the ruins of the mill on the banks of the Beune, passing by the castle. The return trip is via Marcillac, between fields and forests.
Callabout loop in Marquay
During this hike, you will discover a hilly, wooded area dotted with hamlets that bear witness to a rich farming history. The forest, composed of oak, hornbeam and chestnut trees, offers a rich palette of colours. Here and there, small islands of meadow add to this mosaic.
Beauzens loop from Ajat
A beautiful hike covering many kilometres but with little elevation gain. Pleasant paths between low walls and woods, especially after the hamlet of Beauzens. Interesting village, churches, castle, hamlet of Beauzens, stele.
In the heart of nature south of Granges d'Ans
Hike from the centre of Granges d'Ans, through the countryside along pretty communal paths and a few tarmac sections. Enjoy the landscapes and views of the hills. Don't hesitate to take a few detours to see the wash houses.
Boucle de Gorge d'Enfer
C'est l'une des plus belles randonnées à faire autour des Eyzies-de-Tayac. Elle permet de profiter de la fraîcheur des sous-bois et offre une vue étonnante sur les falaises des Eyzies.
Circular via Les Eyzies and Peyzac-le-Moustier

A circular route that will take your breath away! This challenging circular route takes you through unspoilt countryside and past numerous historical sites. Between gentle climbs and exhilarating descents, you will pass the Moustier archaeological site and La Roque Saint-Christophe, in the heart of the Périgord Noir. Not to be missed!
Boucle de la Mouthe
Une promenade au milieu des buis et des chênes verts au dessus du village des Eyzies. Cette petite boucle ombragée autour des Eyzies de Tayac peut être facilement parcourue en famille. Un sentier boisé escarpé rejoint le charmant hameau de la Mouthe, qui renferme la grotte du même nom (inaccessible à la visite).
