Circular via Montignac-Lascaux and La Filolie

Parking is available along the Vézère river on Avenue Aristide Briand.

Mountain bike signpost no. 9

(S/E) With the Vézère on your left, head towards Allée Delbonnel and follow it to the right until you reach the end.

(1) At the stop sign, take the street on the right, then turn left onto the path after the stadium.

(2) At the end, turn left onto the path that runs alongside the stadium before joining the road.

(3) Keep right and continue to No. 21.

(4) Immediately afterwards, take the path on the left and continue straight ahead until you reach the end of the path on Route de la Chapelle.

(5) Continue right on the road, then take the first dirt track on the left to the bottom of the valley.

(6) Take the path on the right, then at the end of it, continue to the left.

(7) At the end of Chemin des Fontas, continue straight ahead on Chemin du Vallon. Cross Les Combes and take the path on the left after the last farm.

(8) Take this path and keep right on the path that leads into the forest.

(9) At the bottom of the descent, take the path on the left and follow the edge of the forest. Admire the view of Château de la Filolie as you pass.

(10) At the end of the path, continue straight ahead on the road until you reach a bridge.

(11) Immediately after, take the path on the left and you will reach the tarmac.

(12) At the crossroads, follow the path opposite, to the right of the waste collection centre. Continue straight ahead until the road turns right and away from the hillside.

(13) Take the path on the left, then quickly take the one on the right to reach Chemin des Quatre Découvreurs.

(14) Turn right and ignore the two streets on the right.

(15) At the stop sign, take the street on the right, Chemin Roger Constant. At the next intersection, go straight ahead onto Rue Monique Peytral.

(16) At the stop sign, turn right onto Rue du Barry, then take the first left towards Moulin du Bleufond. Return to the crossroads you passed on the way there.

(3) Return to the starting point on the right, taking the same route as on the way there (S/E).

Follow the mountain bike trail (orange triangle) no. 9.

(16) Continue to the end of Rue du Barry, where you will find public toilets next to the Tourist Office.

Turn left to reach Lascaux II (900 m) and the Neanderthal site of Regourdou (1.5 km).
