Loop at Ursuya from the Xixtaberrri farm, known as the Blueberry Farm
Here's another way to do a nice loop in Ursuya. This hike is always on open ground on wide paths with magnificent views from the start to the summit. The end of the return journey is via the Iramalda and Harrixuri ridges with Cambo-les-Bains in front of you and, further away, Bayonne and, of course, the coast. On the left, you can see La Rhune, Mondarrain, Artzamendi, etc.

A beautiful hike that takes you on a long tour behind Gorospil, allowing you to admire some of the legendary peaks of the Basque Country: La Rhune, Atxuria, Mondarain, Artzamendi... but also offers a very pretty view of the coast.

A hike that is different from the Peñas d'Itsusi from the Col de Mehatze, which closely follows the cliffs where vultures nest and continues on to views of the ocean and the Pic d'Iguzki (which can be climbed without difficulty).

Lake Saint-Pée

This hike allows you to discover Lake Saint-Pée, where there is a small beach where you can cool off before the last part of the route.
Otsondottiki from Urdax

This loop is known as SL-NA-15 Otsondottiki. It climbs from the Urdax monastery to the Otsondottiki Pass on a forestry route.
Otsondottiki means little Otsondo in Basque, the Col d'Otsondo (pass) being situated a little higher up.
The white and green markers are clearly visible and the route is unambiguous.
The route is not particularly difficult.

From the summit, on a clear day, you can see the Pyrenees mountain range as far as the Pic du Midi de Bigorre... and on the other side, the ocean as far as the Landes coast.
Please note: the start ofthe GR® 10 behind the sheepfold is no longer accessible. The owner has prohibited access to his farm.
Another route has been set up, which is 2 km longer and just as steep as the original hike.
