Drive to Aïnhoa and park in the large car park in the village.
(S/E) Leave the car park and go downhill, then immediately turn left, then right onto the small road that goes uphill, signposted "Oratoire" andGR®10.
After about 500m, turn right and continue for about 100m.
(1) At the white cross, leave the track to the oratory that climbs to the left and continue straight ahead on the wide track that descends and then runs alongside a quarry.
after 500 metres, the gravel track becomes tarmac from the Labatchenia farm. Note the cylindrical stone tower on the right, which was a lime kiln.
Descend to the D20, walk along it for a few steps and turn left towards the Xara Auzoa district.
At the bottom of the descent, ignore the turn-off to the left towards the Murruaenea farm (marked as a dead end) and continue along the wide track opposite for 350 m.
(2) Turn left towards the east, then left again to walk along the north side of the quarries.
(3) At the exit of the quarries, take the ridge path that branches off to the left towards the east.
(4) At the top, turn left, still on the ridge path, heading northeast towards the Erramuntenborda farm.
(5) Turn left onto a small path that descends a few dozen metres before the farm and cross a first stream. When you reach a stream near a building, take the path on the right into the forest, which climbs, changing banks several times.
Further on and therefore higher up, leave the stream and follow the same track, which turns left.
(7) Further on and therefore higher up, continue on the track that climbs to the left and leave the path that heads right towards the Dolharekoborda farm. (This junction is poorly located on the IGN France map but correctly located on the OpenStreetMap World hiking map).
(8) About 250m further on, at a grassy plateau, take the path on the right that climbs upwards.
(9) 200 metres further on, you will find the Chapelle de l'Aubépine chapel dedicated to Saint Rita, as well as the three crosses of the Calvary and the disc-shaped steles at their feet. The view is magnificent, stretching all the way to the ocean.
To avoid a tedious descent along the track, take the path that tumbles down to the west. 200m further on, follow the path alongside the small galvanised enclosure.
At the junction with the track, ignore it and go down the path opposite, which runs alongside the fence. Further down, rejoin the track and follow it downhill.
(1) Return to the outward route and continue to the car park (S/E).
