Tête Chevalière via the Pas de l'Essaure
A beautiful route around Chichilianne, with stunning views, including a magnificent view of Mont Aiguille.
Note: Due to a long off-trail section, this route is not recommended for hikers who are not experienced in orienteering. It should also only be attempted in good weather.
Chichilianne - Bénevise via the Pas de l'Essaure and the Vallon Combau
This beautiful hike takes you to the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors National Nature Reserve via the Pas de l'Essaure, then down the Drôme side through one of the most beautiful sites in the Vercors, the Vallon Combau, before reaching the hamlet of Bénevise on a promontory.It offers beautiful views of Mont Aiguille, the valley and the Combau rock, a feast for the senses, combined with the historical, geological, botanical and faunal riches of the area you are crossing.
The Prayet Pass
A short hike that takes you from the village of Chichilianne to the Col du Prayet, through pine and deciduous forests, under the watchful eye of Mont Aiguille, which accompanies you all the way.

Clelles - Ferme du Désert
The first day is a long one, starting at the foot of Mont-Aiguille with alternating steep climbs and gentler passages through mountain pastures and forests.
Route around Clelles
An easy hike, best done in spring or autumn. This route will allow you to discover this corner of the Trièves with its snow-capped mountains in spring, as well as the village of Clelles. Throughout the route, you can enjoy views of the Vercors with Mont Aiguille nearby, the Obiou and, in the distance, the Oisans massif.
Le Goutaroux from Trézanne
The tour of Mont Aiguille remains a classic, but to appreciate this "ocean liner", what could be better than gaining some height? The view is not only of Mont Aiguille, as from the summit of Goutaroux you have a 360° view: from Grenoble to Trièves, as far as Dévoluy on one side. From the Vercors ridges to the Chartreuse on the other side.
The Tour du Mont Aiguille
This superb ship, isolated from the main Vercors mountain range, remains docked and admired by all, especially its majestic bow, which dominates the villages of Trézanne and Richardière.
Combeau Valley

La Croix du Lautaret and the Haut Plateau du Vercors Sud
A very enjoyable route on the wild high plateau of southern Vercors. Solitude is guaranteed, except for ibex, marmots and vultures.
There are no marked trails on this hike, only a few topographical landmarks to help you navigate the nearly 16 km. However, orientation is easy, as the view is generally very clear. This hike is excellent practice for off-trail hiking.

Combeau valley via Tête Chevalière and Tête de Praorzel
Discover one of the jewels of the Vercors with breathtaking views of Mont Aiguille, Grand Veymont, Valbonnais and Écrins in the distance. You may spot ibex, chamois and wild boar below between Pas de l'Essaure and Tête Chevalière.
Vallon de Combau - Tête Chevalière, Vercors
A hike in Drôme and Isère, but starting from the Vercors drômois side.

During the months of May and June, the Vallon du Combau is must-visit destination, where you can enjoy the flora and fauna, particularly marmottes.
A relatively easy hike up to the Pas de l'Essaure pass, then a little more difficult.
The Cabane des Aiguillettes
A pleasantly varied loop between vegetation and rock, spiced up by the crossing of a scree slope and a passage with cables at Pas du Fouillet. To be done outside the snowy season.Return facing the imposing block formed by Mont Aiguille.
CAUTION! The scree slope and Pas du Fouillet between points (3) and (5) are currently closed (July 2025). At point (3), continue straight ahead to reach the Pas des Bachassons via the Serres and Maupas ravines, point (6), from where you can reach the Cabane des Aiguillettes, point (6), for a picnic. Then, you will need to return to the Pas des Bachassons to continue the hike.
Pas des Bachassons and Pas de la Selle
A pleasant circuit on the eastern flank of the Vercors, which will take you close to the Hauts Plateaux nature reserve and Mont Aiguille.
Petit Veymont via Pas du Fouillet
A less popular summit than Grand Veymont, offering a bit of variety in the high plateaus of the Vercors. Breathtaking views, particularly of Mont Aiguille, which dominates the entire start of the hike and part of the return journey.
Marmots, ibex and choughs will be there to greet you after the ascent of Pas du Fouillet.
Dogs are strictly prohibited on this hike as it is located in the Vercors high plateau nature reserve.
