From Châtillon-en-Diois, climb towards the Col de Menée. At Treschenu-Creyer, head towards Bénevise and the Combeau valley. Park in the car park at the end of the road.
(S/E) Go through the barrier and take the path on the left.
(1) Turn right at the farm and walk up the Combeau valley.
(2) Turn right in front of the Essaure shelter and follow the path marked by cairns that leads to the Pas de l'Essaure.
(3) Turn left. From here, there are numerous viewpoints of Mont Aiguille, Grand Veymont, Chichilianne, Valbonnais and Les Écrins, weather permitting. Follow the path along the edge of the plateau to Tête Chevalière via the Chamousset plain.
(4) Return to Pas de l'Essaure.
(3) Turn right to follow the path uphill in the opposite direction for about a hundred metres, then turn left onto a barely visible path that runs along the ridge.
(5) At the Quatre Têtes, continue along the ridge towards the Tête de Praorzel.
(6) Turn right to follow the path that goes around the summit to the west and joins a fork on the ridge.
(7) Turn right onto the path that descends straight down into the pastures towards the car park. Reach the hollow formed by the stream bed and descend to the car park (S/E).
