The starting point is in the Trèves basin, in the commune of Chichilianne, in the hamlet of La Richardière.
Park in the car park after the inn.
(S/E) Leave the car park just after the "Gai soleil du Mont Aiguille" and continue along the small road that leads to the bottom of the valley (due west). Ignore the path that branches off to the right towards Mont Aiguille. Follow the wide track until you come to a sign for "Le Fayard" fixed to a tree and, opposite, the sign for "Au Fayard - 1080m".
(1) At this point, descend to the left into the very stony bed of the stream and cross it. This is the first ford. (If there is a lot of water, there is a footbridge a little further upstream).
Very quickly, you will come to a fork. Take the less well-marked path on the right. It first runs alongside the stream bed before turning left towards the rock face.
(2) You will come to a second fork. Take the right-hand path and very soon turn right again (signposted "La Rimas - 1150m"). You will cross several stony riverbeds flowing down from the mountain. Your path will make a hairpin bend to the right.
(3) Almost immediately, you will cross the second ford to climb up the opposite side (north-east).
(4) Quite quickly, you will reach a large clearing. You will find two monuments paying tribute to the Vercors resistance fighters.
You return by descending to the right along the wide stony path which, running alongside the stream, takes you directly back to your starting point (S/E).
