Description of the walk

(S) Last day, departure from the Cabane de l'Aiguillette via the Pas des Chattons.

(1) Head down towards the plain to join theGR®® by cutting across the somewhat sparse forest. Join theGR®®91.

(2) Just before the Jasse de la Chau (spring right on theGR®®), follow theGR®® northwards to reach the Cabane de la Jasse du Play.

(3) Further along the ravine, leave theGR®® by turning left to take the central path towards Saint-Agnan.

(4) Shortly after the fork leading to the Cabane de Tiolache, turn right (cairn) onto a small path for the “Variante des Erges”, which offers a pleasant and, above all, peaceful route around a section of theGR®®.

(5) Join the GR®® again and continue due north.

(6) Just before the Darbonouse plain, near the sheepfold, turn right (sign) and, after a short climb, reach the forest.

(7) TheGR®® is very well marked; pass close to the Cabane de la Carette (on the right) then descend to Corrençon-en-Vercors.

(8) If you turn right and walk for about twenty metres, you will see the marker forthe 45th parallel.

(9) On the wide path, you can bypass a short section ofthe GR®® by going via the Grotte Barnier (path on the left 5 mins after the Cabane de Carette). Return to theGR®® just after the45th parallel to reach the car park (E).
