The heights of Burlats and the banks of the Agout
A very pleasant route with beautiful views of Roquecourbe on one side and the Montagne Noire on the other. A beautiful path along the Agout between Carla and Les Salvages, built on an old aqueduct from the town of Castres. Magnificent shaded paths lined with chestnut trees cross pastoral areas.
The Upper Agout Valley and Mont du Sialassous
This route, through the deep undergrowth of the Agout Valley, will allow you to discover the beech trees and ferns of the Espinouse Forest, followed by those of the Somail State Forest.
Numerous vantage points along the way, including Mont du Sialassous, with a 360° view.
At the end of the route, you’ll reach the Pailher de Prat d’Alaric, a unique architectural heritage site.
In the Rouquié woods above Lake Raviège
A walk designed for families staying at the Rouquié campsite, on the shores of Lake Raviège. It has the advantage of being suitable for walking during the hottest part of the day.

The Three Villages Trail from Le Bez
A hiking trail, winding through open countryside, woodland and along the riverbank, which connects the hamlets of the commune or links up with other walks and villages in the area.
The ‘Lo camin dels tres vilatges del Beç’ is a long and beautiful route, alternating between countryside and woodland, guiding you through varied landscapes along cool sunken paths, shaded tracks or hidden descents, close to the stunning rocks of the Sidobre, in a landscape with pronounced relief but without great difficulty. You’ll enjoy beautiful views, peaceful valleys, the proximity of the waters of the Agout, and, throughout, exceptional tranquillity.

The Plos circular route via Ferrières
Hiking trail in the commune of Fontrieu, in Sidobre & Vallées in the Tarn – Occitanie.
Hiking trail at the gateway to the Pays Montanhol, where the stones tell the story of the Sidobre. Places to visit: the Museum of Protestantism and Ferrières Castle.
Start opposite the town hall annexe, at La Ramade. A walk through woodland, fields and meadows, with numerous viewpoints. Magnificent panoramic views of the Monts de Lacaune, the Sidobre, the Montagne Noire and the Pyrenees. The route passes through the village of Ferrières, where you can see the château and the watermills, and follow the route of the little train that operated until 1962, which had opened up this entire hilly region.
Le Salas to Brassac-sur-Agout
Hiking trail in the commune of Brassac-sur-Agout in Sidobre & Vallées in the Tarn – Occitanie. Passing through Brassac, a medieval town, and its old quarters, this relatively easy route follows the banks of the Agout, quickly taking you into the heart of the countryside.
The Luthier Trail from La Ramade
A fully signposted trail offering magnificent views over the forests, followed by pleasant farmland. Passes through charming hamlets. A few rocks characteristic of the Sidobre region. The route is mostly shaded, which is welcome in summer.

Forests and meadows around Ferrières
A beautiful forest walk around Ferrières. Chestnut trees, beech, oak, spruce, holly, boxwood, elm… all these tree species are there for us to enjoy. This walk is recommended for around mid-November, when the beech trees have taken on their autumn colours.

The Giroussens discovery trail
The Giroussens discovery trail allows you to explore the commune of Giroussens (hills, plains) and its varied landscapes (forests, undergrowth, crops, vineyards, moors, etc.). It is regularly maintained by volunteer members of the communal heritage commission.
The Lac de Laouzas loop from Fraïsse-sur-Agout
This hike, which is quite long but not difficult, allows you to discover varied landscapes. It follows part of the GRP® des Monts du Haut-Languedoc and the GR®653, which is one of the variants of the Chemins de Compostelle. It runs along the southern edge of Lake Laouzas and part of the upper valley of the River Agoût

This is the most fun-filled day with the summer activities at the Maison de Payrac.Rock carvings, geobiological and floral curiosities line the path.The shores of Lake Laouzas offer lovely spots for a picnic, and its crystal-clear water is perfect for a refreshing dip.
Route of the 3 chapels of Giroussens
A pleasant mountain bike ride through the hills above Giroussens and in the Dadou valley,featuringvaried landscapes including woodland, forests, fields, farmland and vineyards. The same variety is found in the routes, paths, tracks, trails, local roads, and various paths and trails (natural, rural and urban) featuring stones, earth and grass. Some sections can be tricky in wet and rainy weather, particularly in cultivated fields on communal land.
