Description of the route

Park in the car park on the left-hand side of the Route de Brassac, just past the Super U.

(S/E) Follow the Chemin des Fontaines, signposted in yellow, and after the Barque neighbourhood, rejoin the left bank of the Agout.

(1) Follow this bank as far as Burlats.

(2) Head towards Lacrouzette, continuing to follow the left bank of the Agout. You’ll reach the junction with the D4 at the old inn.
.
(3) Turn left onto this road after the inn, running alongside the Agout.

(4) Pass by the “Carla” water intake and head towards the Carla power station.

(5) Continue along the banks of the Agout as far as the hamlet of Garrot.

(6) Stay on the D4 to reach the Barris Pass (former railway station); this marks the start of the Agout’s great meander.

(7) Carry on straight ahead, then keep to the left to cross the Agout, and turn right to reach the hamlet of La Fargarié.

(8) Carry on along the banks of the Agout, gradually moving away from it, until you reach the Devès crossroads.

(9) Turn left and walk alongside Les Combettes. Pass under the high-voltage power lines and, further on, reach the hairpin junction at Bringarié.

(10) Turn right, following thePR® sign. Make a 90° turn to head due south, then cross the Fraysse. Take Rue du Fraysse. Turn left onto Avenue de la Grande Armée. Cross the Agout at Les Salvages.

(11) Turn right towards the cemetery, following the left bank of the Agout once more. After the cemetery, you’ll reach the Borde Basse Equestrian Centre.

(12) Stay on the track to reach the Lycée de la Borde Basse further on.

(13) Go round La Borde Basse and emerge at the footbridge.

(14) Turn left onto the cycle path, which takes you back to the Super U car park (S/E).

Hello everyone,

From ‘(7) Cross the Agout, turn right to reach the hamlet of La Fargarié, still following the yellow-marked PR®’, it gets a bit tricky. I ended up in Roquecourbe without being able to spot the “reach the hamlet of La Fargarié”. I ended up tackling the rather steep climb that leads straight back to Les Salvages. I’m not familiar with GPX tracks. I rely on the paper guidebook I brought with me.
I wouldn’t recommend this guide, unless you have a gift for clairvoyance to find your way.
