A walk through a small village in the Gâtine region. The route follows small roads and paths, passing through several villages in the area, takes a section ofthe GR®® 364 and ends by skirting the Soleil Levant lake.

A walk that takes place largely within the commune of the ‘Nénéens’ (the inhabitants of Saint-Georges-de-Noisné). You’ll pass through villages with working farms. The first part follows shaded paths in summer, though these can be damp in winter. The rest of the route takes you along two stretches of minor roads, ending with a walk through the Bois de Cathelogne, with its ponds and a cabin that has a touch of Canada about it.

This unmarked hike will first take you through the village of Augé and its narrow streets, then along paths that will lead you to the Montbrune stream via several footbridges and through a few pretty villages with their wash houses. The end of the route is on the old Deux-Sèvres tramway line (TDS).

This walk takes place largely within the commune of Azay-le-Brûlé and, to a very small extent, in Augé. It follows paths that mostly run alongside the Ligueure and Chambon streams. It takes you through a few pretty hamlets with restored houses, and you’ll come across wash houses and footbridges.

This short 9 km circular loop will take you to the Puits d'Enfer site. This site is famous for its legend and is an area of ecological interest due to the presence of rare species. There you will discover a breathtaking view of the town of Saint-Maixent-L'École and its abbey church. You will walk along country lanes and small roads. You will follow the railway line linking La Rochelle to Paris and the Ruisseau du Puits d'Enfer stream, which is sometimes dry in summer.

The vast majority of this walk takes place within the municipality of Verruyes. You’ll start by following paths through the Gâtinais countryside alongside the Ruisseau du Massicart, which flows into the Chambon – on which the Barrage de la Touche Poupard is built. Finally, a series of small roads will take you back to the starting point. You’ll pass through small hamlets typical of the region.

This circular route takes you along the Soleil Levant lake, along theGR® 364 andGRP® des Marches de Gâtine footpaths, and to the village of Les Nénéens.

Ménigoute has become famous worldwide thanks to FIFO, the ornithological film festival, the38th edition of which took place in late October/early November 2022. The hike (inspired by a hike posted on the Saint-Martin Loisirs association website) follows theGR®®364trail along steep, sometimes narrow paths. You have to use the road, first the D21 (for 900 m) and then the D58 (for 600 m), where you should take care.

This walk takes place between the villages of La Crèche and Azay-le-Brûlé. You’ll follow small roads, farm tracks and paths reserved for walkers. You’ll pass through four hamlets, agricultural plains and wooded areas along the Chambon.

This walk circles the village of Saivres via minor roads, dirt tracks and footpaths. It passes through several of the area’s many villages. You will cross the River Chambon twice, via the Cailletière and Coutancière footbridges, and walk past the Château de l’Herbaudière. .

This short walk through the Secondigny countryside, along small roads and country lanes, takes you past Lac des Effres and through the Gâtine countryside, ending with a walk through the Bois de l’Aumônerie. It is based on walk no. 7 published in a leaflet by the Parthenay Gâtine heritage department. It is partly signposted: look for the ‘Blue Circle’ signs.

This walk, which takes place entirely within the commune of Cherveux, allows you to explore the Brangeard and Marcusson streams. You’ll follow hiking trails and small country lanes, passing through a few hamlets.

This hike is a shorter version of the one offered by the Deux Sèvres hiking website, which has the same name. You will follow small roads and country lanes near the Ruisseau du Magot Natura 2000 site.

This hike takes place in the commune of La Crèche, along dirt tracks and tarmac sections. The trail runs alongside and crosses the Sèvre Niortaise river several times. It passes through several villages in La Crèche. You will come across several family cemeteries, some of which are buried under brambles. Along the route, there are four wash houses: Pairé near the football stadium, Ruffigny, Saint-Martin and at the Barilleau mill. In Breloux, there is an old temple and a deconsecrated church.

This short hike takes place in two towns: Azay-le-Brûlé, between trails and dirt roads, not far from the shopping area, and Saint-Maixent-l'École, with decking along the Sèvre Niortaise river and in the town streets.

This short hike takes place in the commune of Souvigné, on paths and small country roads. You will pass through several hamlets, three wash houses and several Protestant cemeteries.

This walk takes place entirely within the commune of Fomperron. You’ll walk along sections of road (taking care) and pleasant, easy paths. You’ll pass through the village of Le Marchais with its wash house and walk alongside the Bois des Boules.

This walk takes you through the villages of La Crèche and Vouillé. You’ll follow dirt tracks and small roads, most of which are shaded. The walk passes through the village of Villeneuve. Near Bimard (in the village of Vouillé), you might spot a herd of Angora goats (at La Ferme de l’Accroche Cœur).
