From Verlieux in the municipality of Peyraud to the hamlets of Bogy
Stunning views over the Rhône valley, but also inland towards the remarkable valleys and plateaus.
This is a unique route as it has very little elevation gain in this part of the Ardèche, alternating between fields and woods several times. It can also be shortened to 7.6 km for afternoon hikers in winter.
To all walkers: please feel free to post photos, specifying the location on the route.
WARNING! A hiker has warned me to take great care, following heavy rain, as the section along the stream is very difficult.
I advise hikers to wait four or five days after the rain before undertaking this hike.
Les Hauts de Marcollin from Lens-Lestang
This route is very pleasant in summer due to the coolness of the undergrowth. In spring and autumn, it offers a diversity of colours and scents for our visual and olfactory enjoyment.
There are several points along the route where you can enjoy views of the Beaurepaire plain.

From Bois d'Autimont to Bois des Burettes in Pajay
This circular route passes through the Autimont forest before descending into the Pajay plain. It then enters the Burettes forest and returns to Pajay.
A notable feature on the descent before the plain is a cross dating from 1840 at the corner of a house at the Serclier crossroads. There is a beautiful view of the Chartreuse massif whilst crossing the plain. A pleasant walk thanks to its varied landscapes, including forest and ponds.

Walk in and around Manthes
Manthes is a beautiful village well worth a visit. The village is crossed by five watercourses, one of which, the Veuse, has its source here. There are ponds, a fish farm, a church and its 11th-century priory which once housed six monks, and a central square next to lovely stretches of water.
So, keep your eyes peeled and be curious, as this village has a long history, like so many others.
