Start at the intersection of Route de la Plaine (D538) and Rue du Moulin north of Lens-Lestang.
(S/E) Take Chemin de la Chapelle immediately to the left on Rue du Moulin. The path is tarmac with a slight uphill slope. Continue to a cemetery and its chapel.
(1) At this point, theGRP® Grande Boucle Des Collines de la Drôme joins the route, passing in front of the chapel and cemetery. Take the path that continues eastwards. Ignore a path branching off to the left and continue to a three-way junction in the undergrowth.
(2) Take the branch that veers slightly to the right and leave the small path that climbs to the left. Walking along the forest, you can enjoy the view of the Beaurepaire plain. The climb is not too difficult but quite long.
(3) Continue straight ahead at the T-junction with a path branching off to the left (marking on tree) and continue straight ahead. Pass by a clearing, ignore the small path on the right and continue straight ahead. The climb ends. You will come to a meadow on the left with a path running alongside the forest. Ignore the path just before it that branches off to the left and continue straight ahead. Enjoy a new view of the Beaurepaire Plain.
(4) On the plateau at the crossroads with the signpost for "Le Cachet", leave theGRP® which turns right and continue left towards Marcollin. Immediately after, at the Y-junction, turn left. On the descent, ignore a path that branches off to the right and at the next crossroads, continue to the right.
(5) After the Marcollin cemetery on your right, turn left onto Route du Repos and after about 20 metres, follow the path on the left that enters the forest.
(6) Atthe first junction, turn right and walk along the edge of the forest with an enclosure on your right where a few horses occasionally come towards you.
(7) Continue straight ahead and ignore the path on the right that descends to Combe du Font Mourand. Return to the Y-junction you passed on the way there.
(2) Continue along the same path, passing in front of the Lens-Lestang cemetery, and reach the junction of the D538 and Chemin de la Chapelle (S/E).
