Neuvecelle walks
Neuvecelle Park, Pierre Grosse and Bois du Pelloux
A short hike but with some elevation! Starting from Parc de Neuvecelle, a natural area of ecological interest, you climb to the foot of Saint-Paul-en-Chablais for a route through the meadows. The return journey is mainly through pretty chestnut woods. There are several superb views of Lake Geneva along the way.
Maxilly loop via Petite Rive and Presles
Discover the countryside and woods that stretch along the slopes bordering Lake Geneva. Take small roads, good paths and trails, playing leapfrog with two streams rushing down from the Plateau de Gavot and the old disused railway line known as the Tonkin Line.
Les Hauts de Saint-Paul
A hike in a very rural setting that follows paths or small roads with very little traffic. There are some beautiful views: on the way up, of the Dent d'Oche and the surrounding peaks, and on the way down, of the Jura Mountains and, in places, Lake Geneva. There are also two oratories to visit.
Lac Noir and Lac de la Beunaz
Discover two glacial lakes: Lac Noir, nestled in lush greenery, and Lac de la Beunaz, which is also a popular summer leisure destination. This hike follows paths through forests and meadows, as well as small roads with very little traffic. It offers superb panoramic views of Lake Geneva to the north and the surrounding peaks to the south.
The Forest of Larringes and some drinking fountains in the Pays de Gavot
A short walk that begins in the very shady forest of Larringes and continues along quiet roads and good paths through the meadows. A chapel, a cup-marked stone, several drinking fountains and beautiful views of Lake Geneva and the neighbouring peaks await you.
The Oratory of Perron
The Perron oratory was built on a hillock that is the highest point of the Plateau de Gavot (910 m). From this small summit, as well as from much of the route, you can enjoy extensive views of the northernmost peaks of the Chablais (Mémises, drystone shelter, Oche, Ouzon, Billiat). A family hike that follows paths or small roads with very little traffic.
From Lugrin to Meillerie via the hamlet of Les Combes
A linear hike, which requires careful planning, connecting two landing stages on Lake Geneva at a higher altitude. An often shaded route that nevertheless offers beautiful views of the lake. Oratories, chapels and churches are also along the way.
The Bois du Fayet and the Piolan bog
An easy walk suitable for all ages, passing through the varied landscapes characteristic of the Gavot plateau: woodland, forest edges, meadows, marshes and peat bogs. Several beautiful views of the Dent d’Oche and glimpses of Lake Geneva and the Jura.
The Chapel of Champeillant and the Oratories of Champanges and Féternes
A walk on the Gavot plateau, along paths and roads with very little traffic. Beautiful panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the Chablais massif as far as Mont Blanc. Small chapel in Champeillant and oratories along the way.
Circular loop between Champanges and Larringes
A short walk, the first half of which takes place on quiet roads and the second on pleasantly shaded paths. Two churches, a medieval castle, a few wayside shrines and several beautiful drinking fountains await you.
From the shores of Lake Geneva to the Pic des Mémises
From the "sea" to the mountains: a long hike with some steep sections, rewarded by superb panoramic views of Lake Geneva. The route takes you through a variety of environments: villages, cultivated countryside, forest, grassy plateaus, high-altitude pastures and ridges. You climb to the summit of Pic des Mémises, where you can enjoy extensive panoramic views of the lake.
Coastal sailing on Lake Léman from Tourronde to Locum
A boat trip along the shores of Lake Geneva, where the landscape is at its wildest and the mountains drop most steeply. Beautiful panoramic views and several lovely lakeside houses await.
From oratories to observatories around Vinzier
A short family walk in the heights of the Gavot plateau, on quiet roads and good paths. From the Chapel of Champeillant and the Oratory of Perron, you can enjoy superb panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the peaks of the Chablais as far as Mont Blanc.
The Henri IV lime tree and the Gerbaz mills
A varied hike that combines peaceful trails through meadows with sweeping views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains. The hamlets of Châteauvieux, with its chapel and 400-year-old lime tree, and La Gerbaz, with its mills dating back to the 16th-18th centuries, add a wonderful touch of heritage.
Circular walk at the foot of Mont Baron starting from Prébuza
An easy hike but with fairly significant elevation changes and a walking time of nearly
5 hours. Beautiful views over the Gavot plateau, Lake Geneva, the Jura and Switzerland, the Dent d’Oche massif, the mountain pastures and the Abondance valley. The final section, on the road (very little traffic), is the least pleasant.
A balcony-like path above the Dranse, starting from Féternes Vieux
A short hike, mainly through woodland, offering a beautiful view of the Dranse valley and the Jura Mountains. Several other points of interest enhance the route: a chapel, an imposing lime tree, the remains of a tuff quarry, a cup-marked stone and a wayside shrine.
