A lovely walk through rolling countryside. Lyons-la-Forêt is a pretty old village, usually bustling with activity.

A hike rich in heritage, in the heart of the Vexin region and on the border between Île-de-France and Normandy. At least, that's the impression you get as you walk along the side of the rock on a narrow mule track with spectacular views of the limestone rocks and the Seine. On the way back, you follow the banks of the Seine, gently returning to solid ground.

This short hike allows you to discover the very hilly landscape between Ambleville, Bray-et-Lû and Chaussy. The view stretches far and wide and offers some superb panoramas. When the Vexin region feels like the Auvergne!

A very bucolic walk in the heights of the French Vexin, passing close to the highest point in the Ile-de-France region. A beautiful forest to cross until you reach the house that was once inhabited by Sarah Bernhardt. Return through the fields across a beautiful landscape at the edge of Picardy.

Walk starting from Chars SNCF station passing the Château de Saint-Cyr-sur-Chars. On the way back to Chars there is a narrow pedestrian passage that starts with a staircase.

Circuit around the water: lakes, ponds and river. This walk begins by crossing the Seine via a footbridge that passes over the locks and the Poses dam. It then goes around the Lac des Deux Amants and the Lac du Mesnil, where numerous birds, including waterfowl, add to the charm of these lakeside landscapes. Starting from the charming village of Brueil en Vexin, you will pass La Cave aux Fées, a Neolithic burial site dating from around 2000 BCE. Then, through a varied, hilly landscape, you will discover a few hamlets and a village with its wash house and old bridge.

A hike on the slopes of both banks of the Viosne, alternating between cultivated fields, woodland and charming villages. For about 3 kilometres, the route follows the course of an ancient Roman road, the Chaussée Jules César. There is a rich heritage to discover along the way: mills, a castle, churches, crosses, wash houses and beautiful houses.

At the southern edge of the French Vexin, a loop that starts along the Montcient river, with the old Moulin Brûlé, and then alternates between ascents and descents in the woods or between fields.

In the southern French Vexin region, this circuit takes you through fields and woods, playing leapfrog with the River Montcient. The Cave aux Fées, a covered passage dating from 2500 BC, bears witness to ancient human occupation. A dovecote, an old water mill and several wash houses are also worth seeing.

The circuit starts by taking you along the Sausseron valley, then climbs up the hillside and continues through fields. You return to Nesles via paths through the woods. The circuit also allows you to discover a unique site called the Trou à Morts.

This hike passes through the villages of Auvers-sur-Oise, Valmondois and Butry-sur-Oise, alternating between countryside and the banks of the Oise. All these places have provided numerous subjects for landscape painters, notably Dupré, Daubigny and Pissarro, precursors of the Impressionists. Even today, visitors are struck by the charm of this region in all seasons.
