Description of the walk

Departure from Gisors station (train J from Saint-Lazare station).

(S/E) From Place de la Gare, walk up Avenue de la Gare.

(1) Turn left onto Rue de Dieppe, then right onto Avenue de Verdun. Pass in front of the Louise Michel Gymnasium and cross the Epte.

(2) Turn left onto Rue Walter Bruder, following the Epte, then turn right at the roundabout onto Rue Jean Jaurès. Pass in front of the Les Argillières residence, then turn left.

(3) Cross the small bridge on the right and go around the right side of the Jardin du Château de Gisors to Place de Banmont.

(4) Turn left onto Place de Blanmont, cross one street and continue along Rue de Preslay until you reach number 10.

(5) Turn right onto Rue de la Reine Blanche and continue straight ahead. Pass in front of the Résidence Hélène Boscage and, at the beginning of Rue Chemin Noir, turn left.

(6) Turn left, cross the roundabout and continue straight ahead to follow the Epte river along Chemin d'Inval.

(7) The path veers away from the Epte on the right; follow it through the fields, where it becomes a small trail. Enter the Bois du Fossé au Roi and continue until you reach a road.

(8) Take this road on the right, then at the end, turn left and cross the two bridges over the Epte.

(9) Turn left onto Rue d'Inval, ignore the paths on the left and continue straight ahead, taking a wide right turn. Follow the street.

(10) Cross the Route de Gisors, D181, with caution, pass in front of the Courcelles-lès-Gisors primary school, the town hall on your left, and continue along Rue de la Tour to the Church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption.

(11) Take Rue du Bout Lombard on the left for about 400 metres.

(12) Turn right onto Rue de la Bellée, which becomes a footpath, and arrive at a road.

(13) Go straight ahead and enter the edge of the Grand Bois. At the crossroads, turn left into the woods, then cross a road. Enter the Bois de la Bellée opposite via Chemin du Baron and the PR®. You will come to a road; continue straight ahead.

(14) Cross a crossroads, continue straight ahead along Chemin du Baron and enter the fields.

(15) At the entrance to the woods, turn left and walk for about 1 km.

(16) Turn left onto Rue de la Cavée, cross the intersection and continue straight ahead on Rue de la Cavée. Continue on Rue Pablo Picasso and Route de Boisgeloup. Cross the D14B with caution and continue straight ahead.

(17) Cross Rue de la Libération, continue straight on Rue Moiscourt, pass Le Réveillon and stay on the edge of the woods until you reach the roundabout.

(18) Turn left onto Rue de Chambors, then right onto Rue du Bouloir. Continue for about 100 metres and turn left onto a path in the Frédéric Passy Environmental Park. Cross the Epte and continue along the path on the left.

(19) Turn right onto Rue des Fontaines, pass the Guy de Maupassant Library, then turn right onto Rue Cappeville.

(20) Cross the Epte bridge and continue along Rue du Faubourg Cappeville. Cross Rue de Dieppe and further on, turn left onto Rue Auguste Marion, which leads back to Gisors station (S/E).
