Park in front of the town hall or nearby.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, head left then turn left into Rue de l’Église to take a look at the building and its wooden porch.
Return to the junction, continue left until you reach the footpath marked by a wooden post.

(1) Take this path on the left to admire the panoramic view of Beauvoir-en-Lyons. Turn back to return to the departmental road, follow it to the right for a few metres, then take the^first street on the left, Rue Pihan. Continue to the^first junction on the right, just before a crossroads.

(2) Turn right onto the small street signposted “Chemin des Acres”, which becomes a track. At the end of the track, turn left, then cross the road at the junction to join a grassy path crossing the plains. Walk past a farm shed on your right, then continue along this track, which bends to the right as it enters the forest. Carry on straight ahead until you see the sign for the Route Forestière de La Vierge on your left; ignore this.

(3) Turn right and you’ll reach a road (D84). Follow it to the left, pass a dead end, then take the^first street on the right until it bends at a right angle.

(4) Turn right onto the Chemin de la Mare au Diable. Carry on straight ahead until you reach a junction.

(5) Turn left onto a road, then carry on straight ahead at the Grands Genêts bend. After the last houses, continue along the track through the fields. Join a road and follow it to the right for a few metres.

(6) Take the second forest track on the left, at the sign for “Route Forestière du Mont Aimé”. Continue to the junction where several tracks meet.

(7) Head right, passing between two trees marked with the^GRP® trail signs (yellow/orange) on the tree on the left and the^GR® trail signs (red/white) on the tree on the right. Reach the edge of the woodland, follow it to the right, then go through a gate and head down to the road junction.

(8) Cross the road to the opposite side, then, at the next junction where there is a water tower on your right, turn left. Continue until you reach the^first path on your right (signposted ‘Chemin de la Mare Chouquet’).

(9) Turn right to follow this path alongside a hedge of shrubs on your right. At the end of the path, turn right onto a small road. Leave the road leading to Fry on your left, then keep left at the junction shortly afterwards, following the sign for “La Mystacrie” (misspelled on the map). Walk on until you reach the bend.

(10) Go straight on along the path that crosses the plains and enjoy the view to your left. Ignore the path leading to the water tower; continue to the left to enter the forest. Keep following this main path without taking any of the paths branching off to the left. You’ll reach a hairpin bend just before the edge of the forest.

(11) Turn left uphill and carry on until you reach the sign for the Route Forestière du Val Aux Dames. Turn right onto this path and continue until you reach a road. Follow the road to the right until you reach the junction.

(12) Turn right, then immediately left into Petite Rue. Follow this road to the crossroads.

(13) Turn right and head for the town hall car park (S/E).
