Description of the walk

Green markings.
Parking available in the car park on Route du Bos Mallard, opposite the town hall.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn left and walk down to the T-junction.

(1) Turn right onto Route du Bos Mallard and turn right onto the first path about 500 m further on. Follow the path for about 1.2 km and turn right onto Chemin de la Vigne until you reach the road (D84).

(2) Cross over and continue straight ahead along Chemin des Gallois. Carry on until you reach the road.

(3) Turn right and follow Chemin du Haut Durand straight ahead. Follow this track up to the junction with Route de Belleville (D284).

(4) First turn right then left and take the path almost opposite. Walk for about 1.2 km across the plain and up through the woods to reach a picnic table on the left; continue straight ahead to reach Route de Brémontier (D57).

(5) Turn right and, at the T-junction, continue straight ahead along Rue du Mont Réal.

(6) Turn right onto Chemin des Surets, pass the Mont Réal farm and continue to the D241.

(7) Turn right onto Chemin des Bas Routhieux. Cross the first road (D57) at Bas Routieux, then a second (D1) to take the path directly opposite. Follow the small ravine at the start (watch your ankles), then continue along this path until you reach the tarmac and arrive at the junction you passed earlier, where Route du Bos Mallard meets Route de Belleville.

(1) Continue straight ahead to reach the car park at Brémontier-Merval Town Hall (S/E).

Good evening, randoce,
Trail maintenance is the responsibility of the local authorities, while the CDT and OT are there to promote them. I suggest you send a message to the relevant town halls. This will show them that the trails are being used and that they are not doing their job.

Exploring the PAYS DE BRAY... but the path before point 2 (La Vigne) is IMPASSABLE unless you have sturdy boots (mud and water) and a good pair of secateurs, as it’s overgrown with brambles and undergrowth... the same goes for after point 7...
Shame on CDT 76, who should be maintaining these paths, as leaflets have been published!!!!!

A walk offering beautiful views and a peaceful route.
This route was often damp and muddy. Between points 3 and 4, part of the path was flooded, so we went round the side, through the field.

A very pleasant walk, best avoided in wet weather as the first path becomes impassable.

A pleasant walk through fields, past cows and sheep. Not much tarmac. Lovely views. Very peaceful. 2 hours and 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. The route is well signposted all the way (except at the start!). We only saw two other walkers in the distance. Otherwise, no one else.
