Saut du Chien waterfall
Hike near Entraygues-sur-Truyère. Route through forests and meadows on forest trails and tracks leading to the waterfall.
GR®465 Entraygues sur Truyère - GR®65 Espeyrac
Connection between Entraygues-sur-Truyère and Espeyrac via the historic Queen Margot trail. Breathtaking views of the Fel hills Regional Nature Reserve and the Lot valley, then the Dazes valley. Espeyrac is the last stop before Conques on the Way of St James via the GR®65 long-distance footpath.
Mill and springs around Saint-Antoine
This figure-of-eight route follows an old hiking trail past a mill and then continues along a blue-marked trail. Paths through fir tree undergrowth or near a stream, very natural.
Puy Courny and ridges: mountains in the city
Short urban walk along the Jordanne, then into the Cantal mountains, a stone's throw from the centre of Aurillac. Beautiful views of Aurillac and the Chaîne des Puys.
There are herds of livestock and electric fences. Dogs are not allowed.
Between valleys and hills, starting from Espeyrac
Espeyrac is a stop on the Way of St James. A picturesque granite village with slate roofs, in unspoilt natural surroundings, surrounded by ancient chestnut groves. You will find refreshments, a grocery store, lodges and an inn.
From Senergues to Conques via the GR®65
From the pretty village of Senergues to another very beautiful village, Conques. The route alternates between roads and paths through the woods. The arrival in Conques is via a long descent that is quite steep in places. The views are magnificent. The path is always marked in white and red by the GR®65.
As this hike does not return to the starting point, you will need to leave a vehicle in Conques.
On the heights of Saint-Bauzels
Near Conques, there is an easy circular with beautiful views of the Aveyron countryside. It straddles three municipalities: Espeyrac, Saint-Félix-de-Lunel and Sénergues.

In the heart of a rich agricultural region (La Viadène) with mountainous accents, this granite plateau offers contrasting landscapes and a rich traditional heritage.
From Massip to Sénergues via the Way of St James
A beautiful short stage combining roads and paths. Moderate difficulty in terms of distance and elevation. Very good signposting with red and white GR®65 markings. Take advantage of the village crossings to visit the churches and fill up your water bottles at the fountains.
The Buissières à la Vinzelle trail
A circular route starting from La Vinzelle, allowing you to discover mountain streams and waterfalls, superb views of the Lot valley from the heights and ending with a tour of the village.
Carladez - The Laussac Peninsula.
This hike, leading from the Thérondels plateau to the wooded slopes of the Truyère, offers a bird's eye view of the narrow "fjord" formed by the Sarrans Lake reservoir. The Laussac peninsula and its splendid chapel are one of the most iconic sites in Carladez, north of Aveyron.
Chemin des Vignes from Crussac
Come and discover the panoramic views of the Lot valley from these former vineyards. This immersive walk through the countryside offers some beautiful views. In this wild area, you will encounter the stories and legends of the region. At the Gachou waterfalls, you can enjoy a moment of refreshment and relaxation.
A very pleasant hike that alternates between shaded and open areas with beautiful views. Pass through small hamlets. The roads used are not very busy. Hunting activities are indicated in the areas concerned.
Fombillou Legends Trail
When Nayrac was still just a Roman farm, a Gallo-Roman named Bilius owned a fountain and gave it his name: Fond-Bilius, known today as Fombillou. This story is only the beginning of the legend. Walking along this hiking trail is like stepping back in time... and remembering the myths and legends of yesteryear. Trail closed during hunting season.
Conques en Rouergues - Livinhac le Haut
Twenty-fifth stage of the Way of St James. This challenging stage, starting from Conques, takes you to Livinhac-le-Haut via Decazeville, along a path known as "Lou Camin Conquet". After a long climb at the start, you will discover picturesque and varied landscapes as well as diverse architecture.
"Mountains" route in Pailherols
The Montagnes are isolated burons (shepherd's huts) on the Carladès summer pastures. This easy walk offers views of the typical landscapes of this Auvergne high plateau.
The Vineyard Trail in Conques
Located in the heart of the Lot Valley, Conques-en-Rouergue, listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" and "Villages of Charm in France", is an essential stop on one of the Saint James' Ways, the GR®65 - the Via Podiensis. As you walk around the Abbey Church of Sainte-Foy (12th-13th centuries) and through the narrow streets, you can admire the beautiful half-timbered houses.The hike crosses the medieval village, then passes through the vineyards, offering beautiful views of Conques and the Dourdou valley.
