(S/E) From the Place de la Salle des Fêtes (stopover lodge on the Way of St James at the end of the square, on the north side), go up the D167 towards Annat, then turn left to reach Le Mal Pas. At the entrance to the housing estate, go up to the left along the grassy path to the D97.
(1) Cross the D97 and walk back to the Ouradou chapel, a 15th-century oratory (visits possible, contact the Tourist Office). Follow the D97 to the left for 100 m. Turn right onto Chemin de Persilles. Pass the reservoir on your right. Continue along the hillside through the vineyard, then turn right onto the old Nayrac road.
(2) Go up to the left for 150 m. At an old vineyard, go down Chemin du Prat Grand to Chemin de Liacouze, then turn right and you will come out on the D167. Follow it to the left for 200 m (pass the entrance to the campsite). Turn right onto Chemin de la Croix Marie. Cross the first bridge over the Liacouze.
(3) At the second bridge, go up to the left along Chemin de la Prade (leaving Chemin des Gasses on your left) and descend towards an old barn (1882). Continue along the pastures to La Prade, then reach Ferme de Tabust (leaving the track going up to Annat on your left). Go through a gate on the right, then below the farm and descend to a crossroads. Take a hairpin bend to the right towards the Pont sur la Coussane, cross it and climb up to the left. Follow a forest track to the right and reach the D22.
(4) Go up it on the left for 400m. Take a hairpin bend to the right onto a forest path in the woods, then along the edge of the woods. At the junction with the D655, turn 90° to the right for 15m towards Mas del Rieu and take a grassy path lined with low walls to La Ponsarderie (beautiful renovated houses). Continue left for 150m to the D655, follow it right towards Vinnac (views of the Lot valleys, Espalion, Calmont Castle). At the first house in the village, turn left onto a narrow grassy path, cross the road and reach the church grounds (Romanesque portal, cornices, capitals, 12th-century bas-relief "La Vierge et l'Enfant" (The Virgin and Child)).
(5) Continue west on the service road to Montrepos. After the hamlet, continue on a dirt road that continues on an old, fairly steep path lined with low walls. Take a grassy forest path with steps. During the descent, turn right (pay attention to the signposts). Take a steep dirt ramp and several steps (old terraces) to climb up to the old path to Mensorgues Haut. Follow it level towards Estaing (beautiful views of the castle). Come out onto the D22.
(6) Turn left for 10 metres, then right to follow Rue du Pont. Cross and climb the steps on the right towards the presbytery (house with turrets). Descend towards the Tourist Office and return to the main road to reach the car park (S/E).
