This short hike starts from the campsite where we were, but it can easily be done from another point, particularly from the centre of the village of Mandailles: just avoid the campsite by going via the Jordanne or the road.
(S/E) From the Puy Mary campsite, follow the D17 road towards the village of Mandailles.
(1) Cross the Jordanne on the footbridge. There is a playground on the other side. Continue along the road down towards the valley, pass the town hall and continue to the Larmandie crossroads, at the stream of the same name.
(2) Take the road on the left uphill to reach the hamlet of Larmandie, following the blue signs. Continue along a tree-lined path uphill until you reach the Ruisseau de Larmandie.
(3) Cross it and continue uphill to reach the GR®400 crossroads at the top.
(4) Take it on the left, going downhill, until you reach a new crossroads.
(5) Leave the GR® and the blue markings here and take the path on the right leading to the hamlet of Liadouze. Take the road, leave the Chemin du Fournal on your right and, after crossing the bridge over the Jordanne, take the road on the left to reach a passage between the trees.
(6) Take this path on the left to reach the Jordanne. If the water level allows, follow the Jordanne from rock to rock. Be careful, there is a tricky passage to descend near the waterfall. Climb back up to the right bank, arriving at the campsite, to return to the car park you chose at the start (S/E).
