Description of the walk

Parking is available in the small car park on the D107 (north-east entrance to Entraygues), near the Pont de Truyère bridge.

(S) Cross the bridge, then take the hairpin bend to the right, via the Passage des Frères Pontifs, until you reach the Faubourg de Truyère. Turn left and follow the riverbank until you reach the Quai du Lot. Cross the Place Albert Castanie and join the footbridge over the Lot.
Cross the Lot, then the park, and go behind the multicultural centre to reach Avenue de Saures.

(2) Continue right, behind the campsite and the canoe base, and follow the banks of the Lot to Riou Castau.

(3) Go through the gate, then take the path on your left, known as the Reine Margot path. The path winds its way up to a viewpoint overlooking the Lot valley as far as Trigadino. From Trigadino, follow the road to the junction with the D201.

(4) Follow it carefully, opposite, until you reach the cross at the entrance to a path on the left, before the junction with the small road to Barbance La Sagne.

(5) Take this path, leaving the cross on your right. The path climbs up to Verlong and joins a road. Dominant view over the Lot and Daze valleys, the Cantal mountains and L'Aubrac.

(6) Follow the road to the left for about 150 m. You will come to a junction with the village road, marked by a stone cross on your left. Take the path on the right and descend to join the D42.

(7) Follow it to the right for about 200 m, then leave it for the path on your left, which descends steadily to a water reservoir.

(8) Pass it and continue on the path on the left, which leads to the hamlet of Monteils.

(9) Cross the hamlet and descend along the road from Monteils towards Espeyrac. After the first houses, turn left onto Rue de la Forge and continue straight ahead to the car park (E).
