(S/E) Take the path down into the chestnut grove. Go through three gates and cross the chestnut grove. Follow the path to the forest track.
(1) Turn left towards the Plane stream after about 100 metres. Cross the small bridge and follow the track uphill to the right. At the end of the bend, take the track across to the right. At the crossroads of four tracks, 100 metres further on, turn right and descend to the first viewing point.
(2) This overlooks a canyon with a stream rushing down into the Truyère. Opposite, you can admire the Château de Valon and the Gorges de la Truyère. Go back up 10 metres and turn left towards the second viewpoint.
Take the track on the left. Cross the bridge and go up to the left to follow the path to the forest track. At the forest track, turn left.
(3) At the fork, take the track that climbs to the right. At the fir trees, turn right and continue to the road. Follow it for 50 metres to the bend.
(4) Leave the road and take the path opposite. Continue straight ahead.
(5) When you reach Les Chayes, follow the small road to the crossroads. Turn right to return to the starting point (S/E).

a very beautiful hike, a magnificent waterfall, we walked in the woods, saw deer in an enclosure, flowers. We parked at a place called "Le Laux" and had a picnic at a table there.
