La Regrippière walks

A magnificent walk along the paths of La Regrippiére to discover its heritage.Very well signposted: yellow markings.

This route will allow you to discover the natural riches of La Chaussaire, with a short stop on the way back at the Grotto of Lourdes de la Chaussaire, next to the parish church of Saint-Joseph-en-Mauges.

A 5 km walk through the countryside, ideal for spotting the local flora and fauna thanks to the footpaths and the proximity of various water sources. Will you be lucky enough to spot a cattle egret in the warmer months?

Discover this pleasant, picturesque walk that runs alongside the canal of the little river Sanguèze in the heart of the village of Gesté. All along the way, you will find the remains of old wash houses, which also served as laundry rooms where local residents used to wash their clothes. You can cross the Sanguèze via a small bridge or by fording the river, passing the remains of an old wash house. The route also takes you through gently rolling farmland.

An easy route, ideal for children. It winds its way past fruit orchards and vineyards, passing through a few clay-extraction areas.

This walking trail is located in the commune of Gesté, a charming village in the Mauges region, where you can discover the Étang de la Thévinière and the Château du Plessis. Please note: the path is closed during the hunting season.

The long Ombrages route in the north-eastern part of Landreau is a bit long, so here is a beautiful shorter section of this route.

An easy hike starting from Saint-Crespin-sur-Moine, which begins on the banks of the Moine and goes to Monfaucon, returning north via as many paths as possible.

Foulques Nerra, the name of the Count of Anjou who, at the end ofthe 10th century, had a wooden castle built on a motte—formed from the earth excavated to dig the moat—to protect his territory. A feudal motte can be seen near the start. Let yourself be lulled by the Moine as it flows past during this route.

Will you manage to find the six-trunk oak? An easy, family-friendly walk that will delight young and old alike! Fishing available at the pond; fitness trails, picnic tables and shelters provided. Ideal for a family picnic in a rural, leafy setting.

During this hike, walkers will have the opportunity to discover a rich heritage, bearing witness to local history and traditions. Along the way, several crosses and calvaries will reveal themselves, offering beautiful contemplative stops and a glimpse into the spiritual and cultural dimension of the region. The path also leads past the Maison du Potier, a true place of memory and transmission. This stage allows you to appreciate the ancestral art of working with clay and immerse yourself in the creative world of the potters who have made Le Fuilet famous. For a well-deserved break in nature, the route leads to the Barbotine Pond. This green setting is the ideal place to share a family picnic or simply relax by the water.

This fully signposted route runs between the banks of the Divatte, vineyards and hedgerows in the commune of Barbechat. It mainly follows unpaved paths and offers wide-open views of the landscape. In terms of built heritage, the main point of interest is the Château de la Berrière. The route starts from the car park at the Perthuis Churin leisure centre, which can be reached by following the signs for Landemont on the D207 from the village.

The island of Borneo, its tropical forests, its white sandy beaches, the South China Sea. But why this name in our Mauges countryside? Borneo was the name once given to a section of this path. Perhaps the name is derived from ‘bornage’ (boundary marking), as this section marks the boundary between Torfou and Montfaucon-Montigné.

Between the tame and tranquil Sèvre Nantaise and the wild and secretive Moine, this life-size trail is sure to appeal to many hikers. Footbridges over the rivers make it easier to get around and allow you to better enjoy the steep-sided valleys. Please note: due to the Hellfest festival in Clisson, the Sèvre Nantaise to Moine route is not accessible during the second half of June (dates to be checked each year).

Walk along the Sèvre river and don't forget to admire the beautiful villages, mills and houses decorated with flowers.
