This hike mainly follows the Coupe-Gorge stream, which runs through the Grimbosq forest. It is a very pleasant walk in autumn as it follows a small path that is rarely used by walkers.

Around Laize-Clinchamps via the mills
A lovely walk along the small roads and paths around the village of Laize-Clinchamps. Several old mills can be seen along the banks of the River Laize in the Val de Laize and Val de May. There are some lovely houses built from Caen stone. You can have a picnic at the geological site (no tables provided).
The Guigne Valley starting from Vieux-la-Romaine
The legend of coal: for centuries, a stone in the commune of Feuguerolles intrigued many quarry workers. Black in colour, it became incandescent when burned. Thinking they had discovered precious "earth coal", wells were dug in the hope of finding a coal deposit. Unfortunately, the searches proved fruitless and were abandoned at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, the coal of Feuguerolles is nothing more than a legend.

Mont Pinçon in Le Plessis-Grimoult
Hike around Mont-Pinçon, the highest point in the Calvados department, best known for its radio and television transmitter. Along the way, you will see traces of the Roman presence and discover that, in August 1944, it was also the site of a fierce tank battle during the liberation of France.

This hike will take you along the Voie Verte de la Suisse Normande (Greenway of Norman Switzerland) and the banks of the Orne river in the municipalities of Feuguerolles-Bully and Bully.
