Trois-Monts Town Hall car park.
(S/E) From the car park, turn right onto the D212 which crosses Trois-Monts, walk past the school on the left-hand pavement and continue to the war memorial.
(1) Turn left onto Rue Louis Blanchard and follow theGR®36, going around the hamlet of Trois Monteaux.
(2) Turn left and leave the hamlet, walking alongside a field for about 500 metres.
(3) Turn right onto the path after the electricity pylon, heading south. Go down a steep slope, following the handrail.
(4) Take the path on the left that follows the Ruisseau de la Vallée Fermante stream.
(5) Turn right, cross the stream and continue to the D171, with the Orne river on your left.
(6) Turn left and cross the bridge in front of the dam. Turn left and take the old railway line (Voie Verte). Follow it for about 4 km, parallel to the Orne river as it descends.
(7) At the end of the railway bridge, turn right down the path towards the Orne. Turn right under the bridge and follow theGR®36Variant. Join the D212. Turn left and walk on the right-hand side of the road (busy road with poor visibility). In the first circular section, climb over the safety barrier to take the small path winding up the hillside. The path widens at the top to the road.
(8) Cross the D212 and continue along theGR®36diagonally down to the Orne. Continue along the path running alongside the Orne to a farm.
(9) Turn left and pass the Château de Vaugroult (remarkable view of the valley and hills). Climb the road to the hamlet of La Vallée.
(10) Turn right.
(3) Continue to the hamlet of Les Trois Monteaux.
(2) Turn right and continue straight on the small road until you reach the D212.
(11) Cross the road by first turning right then left and continue towards the church.
(12) Walk past the church and down the path. Then follow theGR®36variant to the right and rejoin the D212. Go up to the left towards the town hall car park (S/E).
