La Bouteille walks
In the footsteps of Blessed Alexandre at La Bouteille
Taking the Chemin de la Tuerie or passing through the hamlet of L’Arbalète reminds us that the Thiérache region has been involved in every war.
A testament to the need for defence in the 16th century, the Church of Notre-Dame de La Bouteille will impress you with its fortress-like stature.
However, if you carry on to the ruins of Foigny Abbey, you’ll discover a completely different side to the Thiérache: a haven of peace beside a babbling river.
