Hardwick Hall offers many different walking paths. This particular walk is a good introduction to both the hall and the Rowthorne and Teversal Trails. Lovely walk through different landscapes, relatively flat and easy going except for the hill in Hardwick There are several variations incorporating other routes including Pleasley Country Park.

This walk around the industrial areas of Riddings and the surrounding areas traces the connections of the town to the Pentrich Rising of 1817. This series of walks points out 'what happened and where' to do with the Pentrich Rising. This circular walk in Nottinghamshire starts from the attractive village of Linby, a conservation village, and uses part of the dismantled Great Northern Railway line to get to Newstead Abbey, the ruins of an Augustinian Priory built by Henry II in 1170. The return to Linby is through Abbey Woods and Papplewick village.
