Guerchy walks
Fields and woods of Guerchy
A lovely walk round the village through fields and woods, taking in the old Tacot path, Champloiseau station and the Way of St James cross.
This walk goes past the back of Guerchy Pond and returns via the road to Fleury-la-Vallée.
A fairly shaded route, ideal for summer, and very pleasant.

The Senan walk and the Petit Moulin
This walk will first take you to the famous Ru le Tholon passage via a footbridge. Then, it was worth making a small detour to cross this pleasant passage just after the point (8).
The Aillantaise Walk and the Moulin Brûlé
In the first section, this walk takes you through much of the town via roads and paths; the best part awaits you from point (9) to point (10), passing over the footbridge across the River Tholon.
The Villaroise walk and the Touppau
This lovely little walk will offer you some delightful moments as you pass through famous spots such as La Vieille Forge, as well as a beautiful viewpoint at Touppau (elevation 145m) and plenty of opportunities to wander through the charming little streets of this village, all around the village of Villiers-sur-Tholon.
The parish walk and the Poteau
This hike involves quite a few ascents and descents. The famous section lies between (2) and (3), all around the town of Paroy-sur-Tholon.
The Champvallon walk and the Voie aux Vaches
A lovely little hike around Champvallon where you can admire beautiful views in places, not forgetting the famous passage between point (S/E) and point (2). Suitable for families.
The Volgrésienne walk and the Château des Arcis
This hike will first take you to Arcis Castle, then you will have the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful panorama between points (5) and (6), all around the beautiful village of Volgré.
The Water Trail in Gurgy
Situated on the banks of the Yonne, Gurgy has been home to Saint-André Church since the 10th century. The fish ladder, the river stop and its ponds make this village a place centred around its river and nature. Follow the water trail and don’t miss the heritage orchard, the black poplars and the Puits d’Enfer. Whether on foot, by bike or with a fishing rod, enjoy the activity that suits you best!
The Chamberiotte and Alouettes walk
This is a lovely, enjoyable walk where you can admire the famous passage between the D182 and point (2). The best part of this walk is the beautiful view between point (5) and point (6).
The Migennes Bridge Walk
A stroll to the confluence of the Yonne and the Burgundy Canal, offering the chance to discover the two driving forces behind Migennes’ development: the digging of the Burgundy Canal and the arrival of the railway.
Walk along the River Yonne starting from Migennes
As soon as it enters the nature reserve, this route follows the meandering course of the River Yonne. The elevation gain is virtually zero, making it a walk suitable for many. Furthermore, this town is easily accessible by train from both the Burgundy region and the Paris region.
From the Forest of Othe to the Wood of Cézy
A very varied circular loop starting from Joigny, with quite a bit of elevation gain for the region. No technical difficulties; all paths are passable. You’ll cycle in both shade and sunshine. This circular loop follows the Yonne, allowing you to warm up, then climbs and winds through the Othe Forest, returning to the starting point via the other side of the valley.
The hillsides north of Joigny
A very pleasant route with ascents and descents on the slopes of the Yonne, above Joigny. You will enjoy several crossings through the woods and the beautiful panorama of the town of Joigny from the highest point of the route. This route will delight keen walkers.
The Jovinian Walk and La Collinière
This walk will first take you through the narrow streets of Joigny, where you can see the church, and halfway through you will find yourself on the heights of the town with a beautiful view between the points (5) and (6)
Le long du canal et de l'Yonne à partir de Joigny
Long walk on flat ground, along the Joigny diversion canal to Cézy and back along the Yonne. Easy, peaceful route with the opportunity to spot wild birds such as wild ducks, cormorants and even wild swans.
Joigny-Looze circular with return via the hillsides
Circular route between the town of Joigny and the small village of Looze, passing through the plain on the way out and returning via the hillsides amongst vineyards and woods. Splendid views over the Yonne valley, the surrounding countryside and the town of Joigny.
Circular route to the north of Joigny on the Côte Saint-Jacques
A circular route of less than 6km with a significant elevation gain, taking you above the beautiful town of Joigny, on the Côte Saint-Jacques, to the tranquillity of the woods and the Val d'Aubry via small paths, before descending back into the valley, with splendid views of Joigny, the Yonne and the surrounding area.
