The Volgrésienne walk and the Château des Arcis

The start is at the small church car park.

(S/E) With your back to the church, turn right onto Rue de l'Église and continue to the crossroads. Turn left, passing the school on your right, and continue to the crossroads.

(1) Cross carefully to the right , then head straight ahead along Rue des Arcys, ignoring the small road on the right. Continue to the left for a few metres, then take the path on the right-hand side which leads to a three-way junction.

(2) Turn right onto a wide path that leads to a road. Turn left and walk 100 metres, staying on the left-hand side of the road, then take the path on the left and continue straight ahead until you reach the next path on the left.

(3) Go down between the wooden barriers until you reach a wide path at the bottom. Turn right, with the Château des Arcis on your left. Continue to the next path on the left.

(4) Ignore this path on the left, continue straight ahead for 100 metres, then take the path that climbs to the right and joins another path. Climb further to the left through the woods, and after 100 metres, continue to the right until you reach the edge of the woods and a path facing a meadow.

(5) Turn right, then a few metres further on, enter the woods, ignoring two non-existent paths (on the ground) on the left, then continue to the crossroads of four paths.

(6) Descend to the right to reach a road. Cross it with great caution, first turning right then left. Continue along the path, ignoring the next one on the left, then continue to the next path on the right.

(7) Turn right onto a wide grassy path until you reach a T-junction further on. Turn left until you reach another T-junction.

(8) Turn right, ignoring a path on the right and then another on the left. Continue until you reach the D 89. Cross it with great caution, then turn opposite onto a path for a few metres until you reach a post lined with small trees.

(9) Take the wide grassy path on the right, continue further on the right, and reach the D 178a. Turn left onto it, ignore the next road on the left, and take the one on the right to reach the church car park (S/E).
