GR®1: Tour of Île-de-France

Over 500 km long and with more than 4,000 m of elevation gain, this hike is accessible to everyone if broken down into several stages. Beautiful, rural and fairly close to Paris, it is suitable for anyone who wants to try their hand at hiking. There are many points of interest along this route. Notes

-The stages of this route are quite long (30 km or more): plan your supplies accordingly or shorten the hike by looking for the nearest bus and train stops.
-This route can also be done in winter, but it will be muddier.
-For the stage between Bois le Roi and Malesherbes: plan to camp halfway as there is no bus service in the morning and the distance between the bus stop and Bois le Roi is long.
-You will need to pay for the train for the section departing from and arriving at Orry-la-Ville/Coye and Malesherbes.
