Start the hike at Lardy station
The entire hike follows the red and white markings of the GR®1.
(S) With the station on your left, take the passage under the railway line. At Rue des Vignes, start climbing opposite on Chemin de la Grande Ruelle. Follow the path to a barrier on the left.
(1) Turn left and go through the barrier. Ignore the path on the right and turn right at the next fork to reach Chemin du Long Boyau.
(2) Follow this path on the left and go through the gate. Ignore a path on the left and keep right at the next junction. When you reach a gate, turn right, then right again to reach a fork at the edge of the woods.
(3) Keep right along the path. Do not take the path that continues along the woods, but turn left to cross a meadow. The track turns right, crosses the Bois du Chesnay and arrives at a fork near a water treatment plant.
(4) Turn left towards the village of Torfou. Pass an intersection to reach Grande Rue. Follow this road to the left as it curves. Continue to the next intersection with Rue Traversière.
(5) Turn right onto this street and stay on this side at the next intersection. At the bend, go straight ahead and then immediately left onto a track. Near a wood, you will come to a sharp fork on the right.
(6) Take the path that descends into the woods in the valley. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the forks. You will arrive at the tarmac road (Cours de Boissy à Lardy).
(7) Turn left towards an industrial area. Ignore the fork on the left to reach the main road. Turn right to reach the underpass.
(8) Cross to the other side of the main road and turn right onto Rue Salvador Allende. Take the second path on the left, Chemin des Rayons. Continue along the track that extends the paved section of the path until you reach a fork.
(9) Turn 90° to the right. Pass a four-way junction, then another at a barrier on the left and a final one with a path coming from the right. Continue to the next fork at elevation 104.
(10) Turn sharply left, then leave a path on your right. In the forest, at the first fork, go straight ahead, then do the same at the second fork to reach the top of a hill.
(11) Turn right, then left at the next junction to reach another crossroads. Continue straight ahead and leave the forest to enjoy a view of Saint-Sulpice-de-Favières. Follow a small lane and, at the crossroads, go straight ahead onto Rue du Four à Chaux to reach Saint-Sulpice Church.
(12) Continue along the street for a few metres before turning right onto Rue Alphonse Lavallée. At the gate, turn left and follow the path that climbs up to the right into the woods. The slope is sometimes steep on a rocky path. Reach a crossroads at the top of the hill.
(13) Keep to the left on a path that quickly turns right. On a downhill stretch, do not continue straight ahead but take the path that veers slightly to the left. Do the same at the next fork, then go straight ahead at the next one. Continue straight ahead for two crossroads and go to another fork, near the Butte d'Antifer.
(14) Turn right. Then take the path on the left to reach the forest exit. At the fork at the edge of the woods, continue straight ahead, then turn left and reach a junction.
(15) Stay on the path that climbs straight ahead. At the fork, continue uphill, cross a bridge and keep going until you reach the car park of Saint-Yon Church and its cemetery.
(16) Take the path that descends to the left (Chemin de la Folie). Pass under a gate. At the Y-shaped fork, keep right and ignore the next path on the right. At the bottom of the descent, turn left, then take the next stairs on the right to reach Saint-Yon.
(17) Go down Rue de Cosnardière, keeping to the right, then keep left on Rue de Breux. Cross the main road and continue straight ahead to cross the hamlet of Breux.
(18) At the end of the straight road, turn left up towards the cemetery via Rue des Bergers. After leaving the village, keep left on a track that is almost level. Pass a path coming from the left and then another on the right to reach a crossroads towards Remise de Saint-Sulpice.
(19) Turn right twice. At the road, go straight ahead to reach a crossroads in the woods.
(20) Continue almost straight ahead, ignoring an intersection, to reach a large forest track.
(21) Follow this track to the left and continue straight ahead until you reach Rue de Chantropin in Mirgaudon. Continue along this street until you reach the junction on the left with Chemin du Bois des Roches.
(22) Go up this path, which continues along a pleasant forest trail. You will come out onto a road on a plateau.
(23) Turn right onto the road, which curves sharply to the right further on, before arriving at La Bergerie.
(24) Stay on the departmental road. Turn right and take the next track on the left. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead. Ignore the path coming from the left and continue to the next crossroads, near a wood and a mound of stones.
(25) Go down to the right before quickly turning left. Once in the woods, turn left and then pass a crossroads at the exit. Continue along the path to the crossroads in Mesnil.
(26) Turn right onto Rue de la Petite Mare. At the end, go up Rue Jourdain on the left before turning right at the second bend onto Chemin des Brosses. Continue along the farm track that starts at the end. At the first junction, turn left and continue to another junction.
(27) Turn right towards La Cartellerie and continue straight ahead until you reach the road.
(28) Cross the road and take the path opposite. Then follow the path that starts on the right before going straight ahead at the intersection. At the end of the path, keep left on the road. Go up Avenue Paul Blot on the left, then keep right on Rue de la Mairie to reach a church.
(29) Walk past the church on your left, then turn left up Rue de la Grosse Haie. At the end, go straight ahead and ignore a path on your right until you reach a path leading to a house. Turn left towards Route de Villeneuve.
(30) Follow this road to the right to pass the hamlet of Villeneuve. At the crossroads, take the path opposite (Rue de la Brière) and join La Bruyère.
(31) Turn right onto Rue des Champarts before turning left onto the first road, Chemin des Gouttières. At the end of the street, continue straight ahead. Do not take the path that continues through the meadows, but enter the woods on the right. Find the path again a little further up and follow it to the right. Then keep going until you reach Marchais.
(32) Go down Rue de la Butte aux Loups on the right-hand side. At the bend, continue along the path. At the bottom of the descent, ignore a path on the left, then a four-way intersection before joining the road. Go down this road and then turn left towards the D148.
(33) Cross the main road and continue straight ahead at the crossroads. As you approach a wood on the left, do not take the path leading off to that side, but keep to the right. Do the same at the next crossroads to reach the entrance to Dourdan.
(34) Cross the road to follow the path on the other side. Do not take the path on the right to reach the main road, but keep to the left.
(35) Cross very carefully and turn right, then left onto Chemin du Pont Guenée. At L'Orge, take a path that goes up the river. Stay on this path, which leads to Rue de l'Ermitage. Keep right twice to follow Rue de la Gaudrée to the roundabout.
(36) Stay on the first exit before turning right onto Rue des Bergeronnettes. Pass two intersections on the left and take the next right. At the bend, follow the path that runs along a wall before reaching Rue Raymond Laubier. Turn left onto this street, then right before turning left again onto Rue Saint-Pierre. At the market hall, first turn left then right to take Rue Demetz and follow it to the Château de Dourdan (E).
