Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse walks

This easy walk will take you from the village of Parnans to the Route des Crêtes, where you will have beautiful views of the Royans, the Vercors and its chain of peaks as far as Veymont, the Isère valley, as well as a view to the west towards the Rhône valley and the Ardèche.

In a wood near Saint Barthélémy de Vals, these rocks form a group of 51 blocks arranged in three roughly concentric circles covering nearly 6 hectares, hence the name "Cromlech de la Roche qui danse" (Dancing Rock Cromlech). The Drôme hills offer rolling countryside landscapes against the backdrop of the Vercors and, when visibility is good, the peaks of the Alps can often be seen on the horizon. These are beautiful walks all year round, best enjoyed when the days are short and snow is approaching the plains. The route has a modest elevation gain, making it accessible to most people. What's more, the fact that it is spread over two sections of the route makes it easier to complete

This is an easy hike. It will take you between the Isère and the Bourne Canal, passing by the Sainte-Béatrix Chapel and its promontory overlooking the Isère with a remarkable view of the Vercors.

You will start at the lowest point in Saint-Lattier and climb to the highest point, where you will enjoy a 360° view of the Vercors, Drôme and Ardèche mountains. The cobbled climb, an ancient medieval road, leads to Bel Aire. Along the way, you can admire the paving, the structures from the period and the ruts carved out by the carts and wagons that used to travel to the castle mound known as "Le Pain Sucre", which dominates the Saint-Lattier valley.

Discover the vineyards of Tain-l'Hermitage by following the information panels on the "Sur les Pas de Gambert" trail created by the Cave de Tain.

You will cross the Valloire plain, surrounded by fields and orchards in Lens Lestang, until you reach the Priory of Manthes. Information boards tell you about mulberry and pear trees. Then you climb up to the Madone de Moras and return along a path well sheltered from the sun, along the moraine. On the way, you can admire the Château du Double.

A short walk to discover the surroundings of Chateauneuf-sur-Isère. Part of the route is on small, quiet tarmac roads, but it is nonetheless pleasant.

This easy walk in the hills above Chatuzange offers beautiful views of the countryside and the foothills of the Vercors and surrounding villages. There are options to shorten the loop.

Between small country roads and forest paths, this short route allows you to discover the surroundings of Meymans.

This hike, which is not technically difficult, allows you to admire the Bassin des Musards Bird Sanctuary and the village of La Roche De Glun.

A beautiful hike in the hills above Châteaubourg, with stunning views of the Rhône Valley and the hillsides of Saint-Joseph. Unfortunately, the end of the hike is on tarmac (with very little traffic).
