Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse walks

From Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse, a short circuit passes by the Château de Charmes, a private property that is open to visitors, then winds pleasantly through the woods with a few views of the surrounding hills.

The Rando Croquis trail in the Bois de Sisay is the first of its kind in France. It allows you to discover nature through an introduction to drawing and sketching. There are around ten stations along the trail, each with explanations.

This is a good walk to do when the paths are muddy. It mainly follows small asphalt roads with little traffic. It offers beautiful views of the foothills of the Massif Central.

Between the Benedictine Abbey of Triors and the Chapel of Gillons, you may encounter monks who also enjoy the tranquillity of these paths, which pass by beautiful walnut groves and close to the foothills of the Drôme hills.
