Pont de Daniel and Pont du Moulin via Minerve

A short hike around the town of Minerve along trails that are rarely used. They offer magnificent views, but be careful if you are afraid of heights on the edges of the Brian Canyon.
The Megaliths of Minerve

This hike, at the start of La Caunette, will take you above Minerva and will let you discover the megaliths scattered along the route. You'll criss-cross vines, scrubland composed of gorse, thyme, brush, evergreen oak trees and the odd wood.

To complete a loop in the Montagne Noire on unmarked, poorly marked and rarely used paths, we have opened up a few sections of trail that allowed us to enjoy an unusual experience in a little-known area. If you like adventure, don't forget to take the GPX track with you!

Circulate the Muscat vineyards of Saint-Jean-de-Minervois

Discover the famous Muscat vineyards of Saint-Jean-de-Minervois. This circuit moves out of the hamlet of Paguignan leading onto the plateau of Saint John and then descends to the Cesse Valley to join Agel and its Castle, which is listed as a Historical Monument. The route then continues in the direction of Cassidy and then reaches the starting point.
The Bade pine wood and the Saint Cécile chapel at Tourouzelle

A hike amongst vines, garrigue and fragrant pines to discover several capitelles (shelters) and ancient sheep-pens built of limestone rocks, vestiges of the work of local peasants on these slopes in previous times. At the end of the trail, the St Cécile chapel, built on a very pleasant site, offers a great area to relax.
Following the footsteps of the Visigoths in Villarzel-Cabardès

You'll be amazed by the well-preserved state of the Visigoths' tombs found along the way. You can explore the cemetery, made up of fifteen or so graves, at the corner of a path in the middle of shrub land.
La Montagne Noire via Cubserviès

An unusual discovery of an area of the Montagne Noire starting from Les Ilhes.

This challenging hike involves four successive ascents and descents in the foothills of the Montagne Noire. It offers a wide variety of places and views throughout the day.
To complete this loop, we have cleared a path through broom and holm oak trees. The GPX track is essential for following this section, which is approximately 400 m long, from the point (10). The rest of the hike is on well-marked trails. Note the crossing of the Ruisseau de La Grave (at an altitude of 397 m), which can be tricky if the flow is strong.
The footbridge from Hautpoul to Mazamet

Hike with elevation gain, marked in yellow at intervals, which will allow you to use the Hautpoul footbridge opened at the end of 2018 and cross the medieval village of the same name.
There is a tricky section between points (6) and (7) where recent tree felling has more or less destroyed the mapped paths and removed the markers.

This trail is a marvel exploring the Saut de Vezoles and its lake with spectacular amenities.
The Chemin des Légendes and its thousand steps

Above Riols, this trail takes you by the hand through the Somail mountains, explaining, marker after marker, schist and gneiss, menhirs and dolmens, and of course the legend of the Saut de Vézoles. A tough climb but well worth it. A magnificent hike.
