Bourg-lès-Valence walks

This route allows you to discover Valencia and its few, often overlooked canals. It offers an alternation of urban and bucolic atmospheres that is accessible to all.

Explore the ruins of La Villette and Crussol Castle, followed by a long walk along the ridges offering views of the Rhône valley and the Vercors.

A beautiful hike in the hills above Châteaubourg, with stunning views of the Rhône Valley and the hillsides of Saint-Joseph. Unfortunately, the end of the hike is on tarmac (with very little traffic).

This walk allows you to explore caves (admission fee), then enjoy a magnificent view from the Serre de Guercy and see a feudal ruin, the Tour Penchée, built on an ancient Gallic oppidum.

Note that Saint-Romain-de-Lerps is one of the classic walks in the area, because there is a beautiful lookout point with a chapel, 2 orientation tables and a picnic area alongside.

The northern Côtes du Rhône wine region has a strong identity and a remarkable landscape characterised by steep hillsides. It is a land of great wines, renowned throughout the world. Not for those allergic to tarmac! A pleasant and varied hike, some sections of which follow small tarmac roads, as is often the case in the Ardèche. The first part takes place in the forest, where only birdsong disturbs the peace and quiet of the area. The second part follows theGR®42andGR®42Btrails, offering beautiful views of the Ardèche mountains, the Vernoux valley and the Rhône valley. Pierregourde Castle is very close to this circuit.

A pleasant walk in the Ardèche countryside, sometimes on small paved roads, but also on beautiful forest paths. In Champis - La Bâtie de Crussol, a short detour will take you to the Pierre Branlante (rocking stone), then on the way back, you will see some megaliths in the meadows.

Une randonnée à côté de la ville ou l'avantage de la province... Malgré un départ citadin, on sera vite tranquille dans les petits sentiers du Vallon de l'Hermet. Après un passage facile sur le plateau ardéchois, la descente sera elle aussi sur sentier et en forêt.

A short, wild loop very close to Baume-Cornillane, which can be adapted for a short half-day outing.

How about taking a trip back a few million years to find yourself at the centre of the original world (Pangaea)? La Baume-Cornillane claims this location and there are a few information panels at the top of the village explaining it in more detail. The rest of the route will take you up to the heights of Pas de la Croix, then back through the forest to the car park and back to the 21st century.

La Baume Cornillane is an exceptional site due to its geography and history. La Raye is a superb viewpoint: Baronnies, Vercors, Roc de Toulaud, Tête de la Dame and Plateau d'Ambel. The ridges are superb.

Take advantage of this beautiful little walk to discover the Daronne valley, with its meanders, gorges and interpretive trail. If you wish, you can extend the walk by returning to the Saint-Sorny footbridge.

A beautiful hike entirely on paths in the Daronne Gorges. A pretty, very wild spot not far from Tournon and the Rhône Valley. A local must-see. What's more, this route is not the "classic" route and is therefore a little wilder...

On this well-shaded hike, in addition to the various views of the Rhône valley, the Ardèche, the southern Vercors, the Trois Becs and the Saoû forest, we also encountered a young deer enjoying some foliage and a squirrel frightened by our presence. Unfortunately, we also saw the damage caused by the box tree moth.
