This hike takes you along a section of the GR®123 between Clairy-Saulchoix and Saveuse. This pleasant route crosses varied landscapes combining fields and forests. The route follows a section of the long-distance hiking trail linking Contes (Pas-de-Calais) to Carlepont (Oise), and offers a detour to the commune of Ferrières, with its peaceful forest and shaded paths, ideal for a nature break on the outskirts of Amiens.

Route of the three castles and five churches starting from Aumale
This lovely circular route, with no difficulty other than its length, winds through farmland, pastures and woods. It offers the chance to appreciate the architecture not only of several castles and religious monuments, but also of the villages you pass through. The old town centre of Aumale, with its town hall and majestic church, is also well worth a short detour.
On the edge of the Pays de Bray from Aumale
This route, starting from the small Norman town of Aumale, will take you to the edge of the Hauts-de-France region, through the villages of Digeon in the Somme, Escles-Saint-Pierre and Quincampoix-Fleury in the Oise. As you walk, you’ll pass through fields and woods before returning to the Bresle valley.

The route first takes you past the village church, before following a peaceful dirt track alongside the Étang de la Ballastière lake. The Red Houses in Avesnes-en-Bray
This sunken lane, a refuge for animals typical of the Pays de Bray, winds its way through the rolling countryside of the commune of Avesnes-en-Bray, a land of springs and rich in footpaths, including the Chemin du Chasse-Marée, along which fresh fish was transported from Dieppe to Paris on horseback.
