Start from the car park of the village school in Pont-de-Metz, Chemin de Saveuse.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn right onto the street that leads down to the church, passing through a blue barrier protecting children from cars, and walk alongside the cemetery. Before the church, turn left and follow the street uphill to its end.
(1) Continue along the road that extends from it, then along Rue Isidore François, passing a single house on the left. Continue to the stop sign.
(2) At the end of the barrier, turn right down Allée des Anémones and you will come out on Rue du Terrain.
(3) Turn right. Be careful at this point, as there is a narrow passage with cars. About a hundred metres further on, turn left in front of the barracks onto a path that leads into the woods. Continue until you reach the bridge over the stream.
(4) Cross the bridge and turn right. Go around the Étang de la Ballastière pond and follow a dirt track under the trees, where the vegetation sometimes encroaches on the path. Continue straight ahead to the small bridge over the pond, which leads back to the playground. You will arrive at Rue André Georges.
(5) Turn left, walk to the bus shelter, go behind it to take the dirt track and continue straight ahead on this track until you reach a T-junction.
6) Turn left, walk to the tennis courts, then turn right along the railway line. The path is straight until you reach the exit of Parc du Pré du Moulin.
(7) Turn left, go under the railway bridge, then turn right towards the football stadium. Continue straight ahead on Chemin du Pilori, cross Rue Jules Verne and you will come to Route de Normandie, D1029 at a stop sign.
(8) Leave the D1019 and turn right onto Rue Jules Ferry. Go up to the railway bridge.
(9) Cross the bridge and then turn right onto the dirt track running alongside the railway line. Continue for almost a kilometre.
(10) Turn left away from the railway line and join Rue de l'Eau at the post office. Follow it to the left, then turn right onto Chemin des Vignes, which joins Rue de l'Église, which is on the right.
(11) Continue straight ahead along Allée des Mésanges, past the cemetery, and you will find the car park on your right (S/E).
