Park in the car park at the Maison des Hortillonnages.
(S/E) Head down towards the canalised Somme via Boulevard de Beauville and reach the towpath.
(1) Take the alley on the right to go round the Jardin Public, then turn right to walk alongside a canal. Cross it and return to the area near the car park.
(S/E) Take the underpass, walk alongside the small lake, then continue along the Chemin du Malaquis to reach the junction with the Rue de l’Arbre de l’Épée.
(2) Turn right onto this road, continue along Route Robert Petit and then Rue Georges Matifas until you reach the entrance to Rivery.
(3) Turn right onto Rue Octave Cayeux and you’ll soon reach the edge of the marsh. Walk along the Pré du Gouverneur and then the Pré des Chevaux until you reach a junction near the town hall in Canon.
(4) Turn right onto Rue Marius Petit. You will soon reach the junction of the towpath and the
GR®®800.
(5) Turn right onto this path and follow the red and white markings. Walk along the left bank of the Canal de la Somme until you reach the Hortillonnages.
(6) Stay on theGR®® to return to the original crossroads you passed on the way out.
(1) Turn right and retrace your steps along the route you took on the way there to return to the car park at the Maison des Hortillonnages (S/E).
