In the heart of the Armagnac Noir region, known as “las carrières”, the old paths criss-cross a remarkable rolling landscape where forests, meadows, vineyards and maize fields alternate.

La Motte de Saint-Julien-d'Armagnac route
Circular walking loop starting from Betbezer-d'Armagnac in the Bas Armagnac countryside in the Landes region on the border with the Gers. You will pass castles, cross vineyards, wooded valleys and hedgerows, and visit the village of Saint-Julien-d'Armagnac perched on a feudal mound.
This route is marked by the Landes General Council with horizontal signs and direction changes.
North of Mauvezin d’Armagnac
A lovely walk through fields, vineyards, woods and past a château, in peaceful surroundings far from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
In the Mazerolles Forest
A lovely route along paths through the woodland, skirting a charming little river in places. You’ll find the soothing atmosphere of the pine trees and, in summer, the welcome shade of the oaks and chestnut trees.
Between (4) and (5), the old village path runs alongside a forestry estate; you must stay on the path and must not enter the forestry estate.
This route is designed for horse riding.
Le Pin Church, Le Cabana and Marguestau
You walk through woods and vineyards. You pass through the hamlet of Peyroutin and the village of Marguestau.
Tavernes and Marsh Trail
This path, running between marshes and forests, lies on the border between the departments of Gers and Landes. Before setting off along the route of the old railway line – now the Marsan and Armagnac Greenway – take a moment to appreciate the richness of our natural heritage.
Discovering Lake Uby
An integral part of the Uby Valley nature reserve, the lake of the same name enjoys a remarkable environment in terms of its geography, flora, terrestrial fauna, birdlife and aquatic life. It covers an area of 80 hectares.

Route des Vignes d'Ayzieu
This route takes you through the vineyards surrounding the village of Ayzieu, climbing to the highest point in the commune. From here, you have a magnificent view of the Pyrenees mountain range.
Lanne Soubiran – Aire-sur-l'Adour
The fortieth stage of the Way of St James. On this stage, which ends in Aire-sur-l'Adour, you leave the department of Gers and enter the Landes. You also leave behind the muddy and slippery paths to arrive, once past the town of Aire-sur-l'Adour, on the lakeside walk at Lac de Brousseau.
