From Bougue to Laglorieuse via the Val de Pujo – Map

Several car parks in the centre of the village of Bougue.

(S/E) Behind the village church, head uphill along Rue de la Gare and stay on this road until you reach the Marsan and Armagnac greenway.

(1) Turn left onto this path. Continue for a long stretch, passing a bench, a pond and a pidgeon hunting hut.

(2) As you approach the footbridge (on the greenway), head down the well-marked little path on the right and continue along the wide track (heading south-south-west). Pass a gate (private property) and continue to a crossroads (shortcut/alternative route) with^PR® signposts, near a pidgeon hunting hut.

(3) Carry on straight ahead. Stay on this track all the way to the Mouliot neighbourhood.

(4) Turn right onto the Route de Pujo Le Plan, amongst some very beautiful properties. Head slightly uphill, passing the track leading to the Claous estate. A few metres further on, you’ll reach a junction with houses in view on your right (to the north).

(5) Follow the path uphill to the left until you reach the Route du Château. Turn right onto this road at the two transformers and continue to the village of Laglorieuse.

(6) At the church square, turn left through a leisure area. At the far end, take Route Mazerolles to leave the village.

(7) At a cross, turn right onto Chemin de Couillet, which becomes a lovely track and runs alongside several airials.

(8) When you reach the property known as ‘Le Lapin’, turn right, passing in front of a large property (Artibet).

(9) Continue straight on to join the Marsan greenway.

(10) Turn right onto this path.

(11) At the picnic area, take the path to the left of the greenway (to avoid cyclists) heading eastwards until you reach Rue de la Gare.

(1) Turn left onto a gentle downhill stretch leading to the church (S/E).

Protect yourself from the sun: wear a hat, sunglasses and apply sun cream.

Bring plenty of drinks.

There is an alternative route to this route between points (3) and (9), which passes close to the Ferme Auberge de Mégnos (selling local produce).
