This is an easy hike, half on an unpaved road and half on a path and rocks. The suggested starting point is near the Coralli campsite on Livadakia beach.
By car, it is best to park in the car park at the port in Livadi.
We recommend the "Anavasi" map of Serifos.

Starting from Chora, the island's capital. The path is very well marked by the Andros Routes Association. No particular difficulties as the path consists of either steps or stone slabs. Can be done in 5-6 hours if you don't spend too much time admiring the flora, lizards and turtles you may come across in a pond.
Pyrgos (πύργος), Sykamia (Σθκαμία)-Panagia (παναγιά) and Serifos (Σεριφος)

This hike can be done as a loop, starting from Panagia (easier for parking). It is possible to reach Pyrgos by road. Descend to Sykamia beach after passing the small village of Galani (No. 6). From there, you can continue along the rocks to reach Skala (No. 6A). The return to Panagia climbs past the Chapel of Agia Barbara (No. 5).
You can also get to the starting point by taking the bus from Livadi or Chora. Out of season, this is the school bus, so check the timetable.
The hiking map is displayed at the bus stops in Livadi and Chora. The "Anavasi" map of Serifos is recommended.

You can return on foot via the same route or along the coastal road that runs alongside the beaches, or by bus from Kallitsos (out of season, twice a day at 7.15 a.m. and 3 p.m.)
The Monastery of Prophet Elias (Pefkos Cross)

Sitting high above Pefkos is a tiny monastery of Prophet Elias adjacent to the huge cross which stands guard above the village shining like a beacon in the night. This walk provides a simple circular route to reach this 12th century chapel. There is quite a climb for the final ascent but nothing that an average fit person can achieve and the views from here are well worth the effort exerted. From the centre of Pefkos the route takes a track up the hill behind the village onto a road, then uses the public steps left to the monastery.

Symi harbor to Nanou the rocky way

An hike to Nanou beach from Symi Harbor, by Kataraktis and the mountain.
⚠️ The difficulty of the hike is directly linked to a descent which can be hard with a small damage path, lots of rocks, and pretty steep in some places. You should be careful and attentive during the way down!
Symi harbor to St Vassilios beach

A nice hike to enjoy one of the last wild beaches of Symi!
⚠️The last way down is a pretty steep scree to join the beach where you need to be extra careful. Most of people who went there once do not want to come back because of it! So be aware
