Around Ennetières
Walk around the village of Ennetières along the TGV (high-speed train) line and then the runways of Lesquin airport.Cobblestones and tarmac, ideal when the dirt roads are too muddy.
Around Fretin and Avelin
A walk that can be enjoyed in wet weather, with little mud and very quiet roads.As you leave Pont Thibault, you'll come to the cobblestones of the same name. They are used by the Paris-Roubaix cyclists in early April.
The Fretin and Bonnance marshes
Hike between footpaths, marshes and woods, from Fretin to the Bonnance Marshes via the Warlet Marsh.
This hike is best enjoyed with a pair of binoculars. You will find several birdwatching huts along the way.
Between Herrin and Allennes-les-Marais

From Fretin to Sainghin-en-Mélantois, along the Marque
A circular loop that is almost a round trip, passing from the Warlet Marshes (Fretin) to the Bonance Marshes (Péronne-en-Mélantois) and arriving at the Bois de la Noyelle (Sainghin-en-Mélantois) along the Marque.You will walk along well-maintained paths and quiet roads through the woods and along the marshes. In the right season, you can observe the flora and fauna as well as an impressive willow sculpture (Eldorado Lille 3000 Festival). Crossing of two busy roads.
Between marsh and pasture around Fretin
A hike that begins by circling the Marais de Péronne, then moves on to the hamlet of Maresqueldes and ends at the Marais du Warlet. This loop offers diverse landscapes, between water (the Marque (stream), marsh, pond), and fields and pastures. It runs alongside two small roads, otherwise it's all on footpaths.On the program: observation of marsh birds, fish in a fishing pond and a variety of native wildlife.
Around Phalempin and its forest
15 Km circuit in and around the Phalempin Forest. Start from the carpark opposite the Phalempin church.
Wavrin - Don-Sainghin via the lodge
Do you prefer to use public transport, or do you not have your own transport to get to the start of the walk? This walk from station to station will allow you to enjoy some of the most beautiful natural areas of the Parc de la Deûle.Starting from Wavrin station, you can explore the lodge site, walk alongside the Deûle Canal at various distances, and finish with a visit to La Louvière Park before reaching Don-Sainghin station.
Walks through the legends of the Phalempin Forest
A few kilometres from Lille lies a green oasis: the Phalempin Forest. Although modest in size (670 hectares), this forest is a rejuvenating place for hiking. Despite its small size, the forest boasts great biodiversity and legends. Once upon a time, in the village of La Neuville, on the edge of the Phalempin Woods, there was an inn called Leu Pindu with an unusual sign. It's up to you to discover the rest!
From one bank of the Deûle to the other
The walk follows the Canal de la Deûle, on the towpaths on both banks: La Madeleine to the east and Saint-André to the west. A mixed urban and nature trail between two bridges. Several information boards on the La Madeleine side. The trail is also quite popular with cyclists and runners on the La Madeleine side.

Héron Regional Nature Reserve in Villeneuve-d'Ascq
Hike in the Héron Regional Nature Reserve in Villeneuve-d'Ascq: 110 hectares of water and nature to discover. Lac du Héron is connected to other smaller lakes, Lac de Canteleu, Lac Saint-Jean and Lac des Espagnols.
Ennetières-en-Weppes
Departure from Carrefour de la Vallée in Ennetières-en-Weppes. For a hike on roads and small paved country lanes. Can be completed in two hours if you walk at a brisk pace.
The Prémesques countryside
Prémesques, the starting village, is at the edge of the suburbs, close to Lomme and Pérenchies.This humble asphalt route could nonetheless satisfy joggers and provide plenty of fresh air for walkers. What else could you ask for?If you set off at daybreak, you might see a few partridges fly in, encounter a few rabbits and maybe even some hares.
Along the Marque in Marcq-en-Barœul
This short walk takes you on a stroll along the Marque, starting from Saint-Vincent Church in Marcq-en-Barœul.
Slag heap 115 (known as "Téléphérique" - “The Cable Car”)
The route begins in the forest, with birdwatching available from observation posts. Then the landscape becomes more undulous as you climb Slag heap 115 (viewpoint over the coalfield) and return via the miners' cottages.

A pleasant circular route starting from Pérenchies, along small country roads and a few dirt tracks (muddy in winter). Along the way, you can enjoy blackberries (in season), you’ll come across horses (at the riding centres), and perhaps a heron, storks and flamingos.
