Park in front of Saint-Vincent Church in Marcq-en-Barœul.
(S/E) Head south-west towards Le Nautic bar and continue along Rue Gabriel Péri. Then turn left onto Rue Faidherbe. Cross Rue du Quai on the right-hand side and continue along Rue Faidherbe.
(1) Once you reach the banks of the Marque (Roubaix Canal), there are two options:
- continue along the street (option marked on the map);
- follow the footpath as close as possible to the canal.
Whichever option you choose, at the end, turn right and take the footbridge over the canal. This will take you onto the Roubaix Canal Greenway.
(2) Take the greenway on the right. Follow the canal, passing a weir. Further on, pass a factory and continue to a junction just before Rue Nationale.
(3) Turn left just before the bridge and cross the Centrakor car park. Then turn left onto Rue de la Briqueterie. Go straight on and follow the sports ground on your right.
(4) At the next junction, turn left into Rue de la Haute Loge. Keep following this street and ignore all the streets on the right. At the corner of the post office, turn left into Rue Raymond Derain.
(2) Cross the canal again via the footbridge. Continue straight ahead and follow Rue Raymond Derain to the end. Then turn onto Place du Général de Gaulle and head for the car park in front of Saint-Vincent Church (S/E).
