Car park located on Rue du Maréchal Foch in Fretin, just before the town exit.
(S/E) Take the path on the left as you leave the car park, following the road out of Fretin. Take the first path on the left towards a wood. Continue to the intersection after passing the wooden barrier.
(1) Leave the return trail on the left and take the path on the right. At the fork, take the wide path on the left that runs straight along the Marque, then turns left to reach a footbridge.
(2) Cross the footbridge and continue straight ahead to Rue des Anciens Combattants.
(3) Turn right under the railway line. At the end of the street, turn right onto Rue Pierre Semard. Follow it to the junction with the D19 (Rue de Templeuve).
(4) Cross this street carefully and follow it to the right for a few dozen metres. You will reach the entrance to the Marais de Bonance car park. Turn left, cross the car park and continue straight ahead, then turn right at the intersection. After about 50 metres, you will reach an intersection before the footbridge over the Marque.
(5) Leave the return path on your left, cross the Marque, and continue straight ahead, ignoring the paths on your right. Keep to your left until you cross the Marque again. Turn right and follow the river to the intersection before the underpass beneath the motorway.
(6) Continue straight ahead on the path along the riverbank until you reach a footbridge on the right. Leave the footbridge and continue on the path to the left, which leads to a large car park and the start of Rue du Marais in Péronne-en-Mélantois.
(7) Take the wide path on the right at the crossroads. After a left turn, keep to the right and continue until you reach a quiet tarmac road (Route du Bas Sainghin). Go under the TGV line and arrive at the Étang de Sainghin. Continue to the car park north of the pond on the right. Cross the car park and take the path at the back left of the car park to reach a T-junction.
(8) Turn left, with a view of Bouvines Church on your right, and join Rue de Lille. Cross carefully and continue opposite on the tarmac Chemin du Pont de Bouvines.
(9) Turn right, ignore thefirst path on the left and reach La Marque. Head left along the riverbank. Pass the footbridge leading to Ferme de la Courte and reach the start of a path on the left. Take this path and reach Rue de la Marque at a place called La Noyelle.
(10) Turn left towards Sainghin and the Bois de La Noyelle. Stay on this narrow, quiet street. After a left-hand bend and then a right-hand bend, you will come to Chemin du Pont de Bouvines (before a roundabout). Take this road on the left until you reach the crossroads you came to earlier.
(9) Take the same route back, cross Rue de Lille again and continue towards Étang de Sainghin. Look at the sculpture made of willow branches (XIPE TOTEC, Festival ELDORADO Lille 3000) on your left before the path leading to the car park.
(8) Continue straight ahead to go around the pond. Take Rue du Bas Sainghin again, passing under the TGV line, and return to the car park in Péronne.
(7) Take the path towards the Marais de Bonnance. Head towards La Marque, then under the motorway.
(6) Turn right and follow the path below the motorway; it turns left after about 100 metres. Stay on this path, which joins the outward route before the footbridge over the Marque.
(5) Return along the same route you took on the way there via Rue de Templeuve, Rue Pierre Semard and then Rue des Anciens Combattants. Return to the passage under the railway line.
(3) Leave the path you took on the way there on your left and continue straight ahead to return via the Marais du Warlet. Take Rue Marx Dormoy, which leads to a car park after a left-hand bend.
(11) From the car park, enter the marsh and take the path on your right. Continue to a footbridge about 300 m further on.
(12) Use the footbridge on the left, cross the marsh, continue along the path and rejoin the outward path and the starting car park (S/E).
