From one bank of the Deûle to the other

Park in the car park of the Acoljaq community centre, at the intersection of Rue de Berkem and Rue du Pré Catelan.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn left onto Rue Sainte-Hélène and follow this street towards the Canal de la Deûze.

(1) Go down the steps and head north (right), following the greenway. Go under the railway bridge and you will arrive at the road bridge, Pont de l'Abbaye.

(2) Cross this bridge to reach the other bank, follow the street of the same name, then turn left onto Rue Simone de Beauvoir to reach the canal bank. Continue along the canal and turn right at the picnic area. Follow Rue Vrau to the left and you will arrive at Pont Sainte-Hélène.

(3) Turn left to cross this bridge and, at the beginning of Rue Roger Salengro, turn left to rejoin the greenway.

(4) Follow the canal until you reach the steps you took on the way there.

(1) Go up the stairs and follow the same route you took on the way there to reach the car park of the Acoljaq social centre (S/E).

On the Saint-André side, there are picnic areas, a children's playground and sports facilities.
