The Buzerie ponds via La Grange au Rouge
Discover the two small ponds at La Buzerie via La Grange au Rouge. A family walk, without any particular difficulty, mostly along forest tracks. The first pond is fenced off, but you can easily walk around the second one.
On the agenda: the tranquillity of the woods, birdsong, a few wild ducks and, if you’re lucky, some roe deer, a few horses grazing, and a breath of fresh air!

With little elevation gain, accessible to all ages, this route can be enjoyed on foot or by bike.
At weekends, you will encounter many hikers.
The Perry hike in Anjouin
This walk, suggested by the Chabris-Pays de Bazelle Community of Communes, allows you to discover the surroundings of Anjouin, passing near the Pierre Levée de Bellevue, then on the Perry, near the Château de la Roche, and ending at the Boulaye and the Maisons Rouges. The landscapes are typical of the northern Boischaut region of the Indre.
The Vernusse route starting from Bagneux
This walk starts atthe Church of Saint-Austrégésile (late 19th century) and takes you through the countryside around Bagneux. It passes through the Vernusse State Forest before reaching the two menhirs at Tréfoux.

This short route takes in the Berry Canal and the River Cher, where you may have the pleasure of spotting a few swans that have made this stretch of water their home. This walk is very easy.
The village of La Montagne on the banks of the Cher
A short hike in this village in Berry, also known as the "village of the Mountain" by locals. Its undulating paths will take you up to a hilltop overlooking a corner of the Berry Champagne region, where hedges, pollarded trees and copses mingle with agricultural plots. They will also take you down into "hell", passing through "paradise" on the way, to reach the wild banks of the Cher, where you can see some elements that bear witness to the village's history, all in a very rural setting.
Crossing the Bonne Heure from Millançay
Starting from Millançay, the walk takes in deciduous forests, ponds and sheep pastures set within an unspoilt landscape. A few trees, several hundred years old – survivors of the vast forest that once covered the Sologne – tell their story.

A pleasant walk through unpretentious countryside; do visit the Cocu Dolmen and the twisted bell tower at Saint-Outrille.

Chemin de la Minardière in Billy
This nature trail, listed under the Departmental Plan for Sites and Routes (PDESI), is representative, in its first section, of the Cher Valley with its open spaces of farmland and small woods, and in its second section, of the typical Sologne landscape with its forest of oaks and birches. It is particularly popular when the heather is in bloom.
Fontguenand, in the valley of the Petit Rhône, a tributary of the Fouzon
Fontguenand, a small village in the far north of the Indre department, on the border with Loir-et-Cher, is crossed by the Petit Rhône, a tributary of the Fouzon. This walk allows you to explore the surrounding countryside, typical of the Boischaut-Nord region, from vineyards to cereal fields, passing by the little chapel at L’Epinat.

The Nahon Valley, between Vicq-sur-Nahon and Langé
This hike starts in Vicq-sur-Nahon and takes you to the western hills overlooking the Nahon valley. It leads you to the Château de la Moustière and then the Château de Langé. You will then follow the Nahon river to climb the eastern hills. You will take part of the Benjamin Rabier discovery trail.
