Navarrenx - Uhart-Mixe
Forty-fourth stage of the Camino de Santiago. During this stage, you leave Béarn for the Basque Country. A very long stage, mostly along country roads and paths through woodland. As you do not pass through any large villages, it is best to stock up on provisions at the start.
Arthez-de-Béarn - Navarrenx
Forty-third stage of the Way of St James. A hilly stage awaits you, linking the Gave de Pau valley with that of the Gave d’Oloron to reach Navarrenx, a small village in Béarn that will charm you with its lands watered by the Gave d’Oloron and its tributaries, the Saleys, the Laus, the Arroder and the Lucq.
Navarrenx has been awarded the "Most Beautiful Villages of France" label.
Montestrucq circular
A very pleasant short walk in the Béarn des Gaves, through woods, fields and villages. Beautiful views of the Pyrenees.
The Serre de Poey and the Uzan valley
Circular route offering views of the Pyrenees and the Pont-Long plain.
The Beyrie-Bougarber ridges starting from Poey-de-Lescar
Circular passing over the ridges between the Gave de Pau and Pont-Long plains with beautiful views of the Pyrenees, from the Pic du Midi de Bigorre to the Basque mountains and the Pont-Long plain from Momas to Serres-Castet.
Castétarbe neighbourhood loop in Orthez
This route follows paths that are open and maintained by local volunteers. Much of the walk is on dirt tracks with beautiful views of the region and the Pyrenees.

Caubios-Loos circular route via the Sanctuary of Sainte Quitterie
Circular route through the countryside and woods with beautiful views of the Pyrenees and a visit to the Sanctuary of Sainte-Quitterie. This saint, renowned in the south-west, has given her name to many springs and fountains reputed to be miraculous.
This circular route mainly follows route no. 9 in the old booklet "32 walks and hikes in Miey de Béarn".
Signs and markings (yellow lines) are in place for a good half of the route, but after that it becomes more uncertain.
Soum d'Aulis
A short, pleasant walk where you can have a picnic at the summit. Beautiful views of the Anie and the scattered settlements on the borders of Béarn. No difficulty.

The Jurançon Hills
A shaded walk on the hillsides of Jurançon to discover beautiful forests and estates.
Summit of Souek
A short, easy walk next to the Aramits adventure park. Beautiful views over the plain and the mountains: Anie, Madeleine, etc. Picnics possible at the summit. The route alternates between woodland and meadows, with a few signposts except for the summit.
Arripot Mill Route in Amou
A pleasant route, mainly on secondary roads with beautiful sections on forest and farm tracks. Numerous views of the surrounding valleys and hillsides.
Between Ogeu-les-Bains and the Gave d'Ossau
A lovely hike in the hills between the village of Ogeu-les-Bains and the Gave d'Ossau, facing the Bois du Bager and the Pic d'Escurets. There is a beautiful view of the first ridge and the entrances to the Ossau and Aspe valleys.
Arzacq-Arraziguet - Arthez-de-Béarn
Forty-second stage of the Way of St James. This stage, starting from Lac d'Arzacq, takes you into Béarn, offering beautiful countryside scenery and lovely paths winding between the Luy valley and the Gaves du Béarn.
The Saint-Antoine Chapel from Musculdy
This circular route allows you to discover a farming world that is still very much alive. The farms scattered across the valley floor are still in operation, with their numerous meadows. You can gain a better understanding of this multifaceted agro-pastoral culture as you cross the forests and then the pastures of the mid-mountains. The Saint-Antoine chapel overlooks the Col d'Osquich, a popular spot for wood pigeon hunting in autumn. From the summit, there is a breathtaking view of the Soule Valley, the Haute-Soule mountains, the Arbailles karst massif and Basse-Navarre.
From the Croix de Buzy to Bescat
On the way there, exceptional views of the Ossau Valley and the Pyrenees mountain range.
On the way back, you will pass through the small village of Bescat. The walk is then more shaded.
Route du Tos de la Courade
This is a family hike in the Ossau Valley, south of the city of Pau, between the villages of Bescat and Sévignacq-Meyracq.
Mainly through the woods, it leads to the Tos de la Courade (tos = watering hole) and then joins theGR®78via a well-maintained path, before returning to the starting point. It overlooks the Ossau Valley to the south and, in the second part of the walk, the plain of Pau.
