Park at the bottom of the small road leading to Laus Creek Ranch, near the Laus. Use the grassy verge alongside the road.
(S/E) Cross the Laus.
(1) Turn immediately right to reach the Préchac Forest.
(2) Turn left, cross the Laus again and head uphill through the undergrowth to join the D2.
(3) Cross with care, then head down into the woods opposite, keeping to the left at both junctions, via the hamlets of Janeta, Larrey and Costalats. At the end, turn right to cross the Layous and join the D25.
(4) Follow it to the left, towards Lucq-de-Béarn centre, then turn right onto a dirt track to climb up into the Bois de Rigas. You’ll come out onto the D27.
(5) Cross the road, take the road opposite, then turn right at the junction to reach the Préchacq-Navarrenx cemetery. Then turn left onto the Chemin de Batut and head towards the junction with the Camin Dera Hont.
(6) Turn left again and continue along the Camin Deras Placas until you reach the junction with a small path on the right which takes you alongside the river.
(7) Take this path, walking as close as possible to the stream.
(8) Cross the footbridge and carry on to the picnic table by the stream.
(9) Head up to the left until you reach the Saucède cemetery. Turn right onto the D27, which is called Rue du Bourg here, pass the town hall and Saint-Pierre Church, and carry on.
(10) Turn left onto Chemin des Arrious, then right onto a small path that joins Chemin Vignertolle through woods and fields. Follow this towards Bellegarde, passing Ferme à Betty, until you reach a crossroads.
(11) Head downhill to the left, cross the bridge over the Layous, and carry on straight ahead along the Chemin des Sayettes to reach the D25.
(12) Turn right and follow the road carefully, passing the cemetery, then turn right again at the junction with the D110.
(13) Turn left onto Rue du Jardin Public, continue to no. 138, and walk alongside the garden. Then continue along the path on the left, cross the D110 with care , and take the road opposite, heading towards Escot Montalibet. Join the D2 (Route de Navarrenx).
(14) Cross the road, take the road opposite for about twenty metres, then turn left to follow the Chemin d’Ogenne, which leads directly back to Le Laus and the car park on the other side of the stream (S/E).
