Park at the entrance to the path on the side of the road (D338). Be careful not to obstruct other vehicles.
(S/E) Take the path (GR®78). Follow it for about 3 km along the Gave d'Ossau until you reach the Pont du Diable and cross it (you can't miss it).
(1) At the intersection just after the bridge, turn left and follow the signs for Le Bédat/Bord du Gave/Tauzy (yellow sign). Continue a little further. You will pass a renovated barn on your left. Continue along the zigzagging path. A little further on, on the uphill stretch, ignore the path that branches off to the left (marked as an equestrian trail) and keep to the right on the main path until you reach a new intersection facing a large field.
(2) At the intersection, turn right (the field will now be on your left). Walk along it for about 1.2 km until you reach a housing estate. Walk along the remains of a football pitch and join a tarmac road.
(3) Continue straight ahead, pass the old stadium changing rooms and then turn right (route de l'aérodrome - D319). Please note that although there is little traffic, cars drive fast on this stretch of road. Please be careful. Pass the 70 km/h speed limit sign (ignore the path that branches off to the right just after it) and continue along the road for about 500 m until you reach the end of a large bend.
(4) Take the path on the right at the end of this large bend. From the road, you can see a tree marked with a yellow cross on the left-hand side of the path. Walk for about 200 metres. You will be facing a field.
(5) Take the small path that descends to the left just before the entrance to the field.
Follow this winding path (not shown on maps) which descends towards the Lasser stream. Follow it for about 750 m. You will come to a new signposted intersection which is almost opposite the Gave d'Ossau.
(6) Keep to the right. The river is on your left. Walk for about 400 m and you will reach the Pont du Diable intersection.
(1) Turn left, cross the bridge and return to the car park (S/E) via the same route you took on the way there.
